Sad....

I don't know why I'm posting this, maybe I figure that you all can understand how I feel. This morning I let my 2 goldendoodles outside to play and when I called them back in, I couldn't find them. We have 6 acres WAY off the road and the only cleared area is immediately around the house. The dogs have a couple favorite spots so I went looking and found Webster but not Charlotte. Charlotte is only 9 wks old and she is missing. I have been searching since 9am and my legs literally ache from the amount of walking I have been doing. My 2 kids, my parents, my sister and 3 other doodles have been searching with me. Now my husband is home from work and he is searching until dark (it's 5:30). We've talked with all the neighbors, driven the local subdivision, called animal control, checked craigslist, and posted a sign. I'm feeling hopeless and miserable. I just lost my grandma and Charlotte went with me to Mich for the funeral - puppy comfort, you know. If you have a doodle puppy, please give him/her a hug for me.

Please call local animal control immediately and send out information and pictures to every local shelter and rescue within a 50 mile radius.....

Did it...animal control was useless.......will be calling local vets tomorrow morning

Are there large prey animals in the area? (bear, bobcat, coyote) .....i don't mean to alarm you by asking...Just trying to get a feel for the area.....Any places she could hold up in if she were tired?.....Rabbit holes etc......abandoned out buildings....etc?

I'm sure it goes without saying -- but ALWAYS go look in person. Growing up more then once we owned dogs with terrible wanderlust... one in particular. He was a Lhasa Apso mix my parents had -- we found him as a stray. He was kept with medium length hair. I would call looking for him and they never had him -- I would go look and there he was. Once they even had him down as a FEMALE. They often had the color wrong, much less breed guesses. This happened in two different states, different animal control places. Better safe then sorry.

Did she have tags on?

Oh, I'm soooo sorry...we hug our doodles alot but, I will give them an extra tonight...Hope you find her soon.

Oh I am so sorry, lets hope that she is ok, just is hiding somewhere. Maybe she was tired and possibly is hiding in a rabbit hole or some place where she can climb into?...Please keep us informed ...
