Hey guys, I am a little down because mommy says I am F-A-T:( When she took us to get weighed yesterday I was 29.5 lbs. I should be low 20's. I tried to convince mommy (and my girlfriend) that it was ALL MUSCLE, but I don't think they are buying it:( My stats are: boy, 19" tall, 9.5 months old. Love to sleep, Love to eat. I chase Rosey a lot, I usually go to care but haven't since my illness. Mommy walks us on days we don't got to care but has been a bit "preoccupied" lately. Mommy switched my food to Wellness Adult 2 weeks ago, 5/8cup per serving. She knows she should have switched puppy food earlier and is all sad about that. But point is I need to lose some LBS F-A-S-T.... Any ideas??
Couple questions:
Do marrow bones have a lot of calories? I just love'm
How much exercise should I get?
What are good treats-low cal but tasty enough for my OB training?

My mom seems to pay allot of attention to what I eat too, but I really like to eat! She is just not use to boy dogs who like to eat. She needs more training. Too bad I don't have an underactive thyroid. Oh well, I just keep up with her training. One more thought -- carrots are okay as long as she cooks them. No two more thoughts -- those blueberry treats Zukes makes are yucky!

Hey Bandit, it must be a bummer to have to think about the d word. Can you convince Rosey to play more? More play is way better than less food!

Maybe you should tell your mom you are like a toddler and are just about ready to hit a growth spurt - pretty soon your weight and height will even out and your six pack abs will be showing for Tara.

When in doubt, try "I'm not fat I'm fluffy"!

I am pretty fluffy, mom says I growin my dread locks out for the winter. Rosey is always up for more play but I would rather lay around and dream of frolickin' with T-Baby. My dog sitter is comin' today, he usually works us out pretty good, next week I think I will be goin' back to care so that should help:)

That is so cool you get a dog sitter - even though we aren't really dogs! It's just nice to have somebody come hang out during the day.

Things just aren't the same with Latte at my house - how do you stand having a big sister around all the time??? Now she has that nasty kennel cough and I'll probably get it too - just like when Cadi lived with us. I've learned that big sisters make you sick and try to take too much of my mommy's time...she even wants to sleep by her; I let her because everyone said it would only be for a short time but if she is here too long she'd better look out - I'll be getting my spot back! Mom tries to spend special time with me but Latte always shows up and wants to join in...girls!

OH NO Not the KC!! That bug is really getting around!! Our dog sitter is the BEST!!! He gives us lots of attention, except when mom makes him do some of the chores like mow the yard. Just the sight of him puts me into a zoomy fit like you wouldn't believe!!

I am sure your F sister will be getting her permanent home soon since she is such a fox and sounds real sweet. Then your mom will spoilin' you with all kinds of toys and belly rubs!! Hang in there Cliff!

Hey there little Bandit Buddy, Lucy here. Try this. Yesterday Mom gave me a haircut and I heard her say "You look 10 lbs thinner". She said she was gonna go get herself a haircut. Maybe your Mom could just give you a haircut! We like baby carrots for treats here. Sometimes mom cuts them up in little pieces for training treats.

Little Bandit my buddy...Gracie Doodle here. My mommy gave me a really short haircut today because in a week I am going to my Doggie Ranch for 7 days while they go to Boston and Vermont. I really like the ranch but that is where I got the two fox tails in my paws. For that reason my mommy has made me look more like a Poodle except she was kind enough to leave my head and tail like a Doodle! You should see how skinny I am. My mommy and daddy keep laughing and calling me snake hips. I really am a very lean girl for a huge Doodle. Hair cuts really do show how lean you are. My mommy promised me an outing after she finished grooming me so she had daddy meet us at the park on his way home from work and we played with my ball. I love to chase, jump and catch my ball. Here I am running and catching. We have a heat wave arriving this weekend and it is supposed to be 90 at the beach!!!! We live by the beach so they are going to take me to the dog beach for a swim. I do love my new haircut because I am always hot and now I am a cool Dood!! Maybe a hair cut will get your mommy to stop thinking you are FAT!!! Just remember, you are a toddler and still growing!!!

Wow Gracie! You look awesome! My sissy Rosey has those same snake hips when she get her haircut real short. She would love to hang out with you, she loves playin' ball and runnin' in the park and swimmin is her all time favorite. Mom says we have to let our hair grow out now so we will be warm for the winter. It could get cold here anytime. We are at the groomers today, mom was askin' the lady about the Les Pooches brush, she said she will only use a metal comb on Rosey and if she can't get that thru her fur she needs to be shaved.... YIKES! Mom is not buyin' that though so we may have to switch groomers AGAIN! I wish we lived closer so your mom could teach my mom how to do all that stuff.
The ranch sounds like lots of fun, but I really hope those foxtails don't get you again. My paws got burned yesterday when I was runnin' too hard, (I was tryin' to burn calories). Mom says I need new shoes. Maybe that means she's takin' us shopping this weekend:) See ya Gracie! your pal Bandit

I sure hope Clifford isn't keeping up with this blog - he will be so jealous! Gracie gets to go to a ranch! Rosey and you get a sitter and get to go swimming! He would feel like he has a boring life...I think I need to plan some field trips soon. Thanks for cluing me in on what other doodles are doing.

Ha Ha! Poor Cliffy, he just gets stuck at home with LATTE, the beautiful foster girl. Rosey was so excited to get in the car this morning, she must have thought she was going somewhere really fun!! Unbeknowst to her she was heading to the groomer, poor girl was NOT happy when we got there:(
