We finally made voice contact with the shelter. They said someone was on their way to see the boy, but were 2 hours from the shelter. DRC will continue to follow up on this boy's status.

I'm having the same issue and wracking my brain for anyone I know in the general area. Is anyone from the 3 Amigos Doodle Train able to help? If the shelter can keep him until Saturday, I'll drive up and get him (I can't take the idea that that sweet baby might get PTS - it's eating me up).

If ANYONE in NC can pull him and keep him until Saturday, I'll meet them and come get him. (I really AM going to turn into a crazy single lady with a billion dogs. I'm going to need a bigger house)

Ditto on what Frannie said -- If somebody can pull him from NC tomorrow or if the shelter can hold until saturday, I can drive down from washington DC late Saturday afternoon to pick him up and foster him

It says he was adopted today! I hope he is heading to a happy foster home or a forever home.

I just got off the phone with the shelter. This little dood was adpoted with a forever family today. Thanks everyone to who sent me emails and responded with post willing to help. I really hate it when these guys reach the eleventh hour, but am always happy when they go to a forever home.

Remember if you would like to help these doods (even if you can't foster) DRC can always use help pulling from shelters or transporting doodles to foster homes and forever homes. I may not be able to foster, but I can always pull from a shelter if it is somewhat clsoe and I am off/can get off work. Nina, do I do the same foster application if I cannot foster yet (no yard, weight limit at my condo)?
