I HAVE GOOD NEWS! My Murph may be turning the corner, although I don't want to get too hopeful yet, because this also happened on Saturday evening, and then yesterday he was a mess again. I think that the additional medicine that the Vet prescribed yesterday is helping to relieve his symptoms. He's moving around much better now, which may be due to the anti-inflamammatory, and he ate his whole breakfast, which may be due to the anti-nausea/appetite stimulant. So this is all great news. He woke us up this morning and ran right to the kitchen for his food....he ate every single drop. Right now he's standing on the daybed barking at Guinness, and he's about ready to leap on him and take away his toy. I'm sure Guinness is thinking......He's baaack! Today was also the first day that he fought like crazy when we had to do the eye medications....the other days he was just too weak to fight it. So, I'm very encouraged by all of this. Today he may even get a little walk, and I have to get Guinness out to do something fun before that poor guy goes "stir crazy".
I'll keep you all posted. I have to talk to the Vet (an absolutely amazing, wonderful woman who I will forever have my gratitude) later this morning.
Thank you ALL again....Doodle Lovers Are THE BEST!!!!!!
I am so happy that he is feeling better, you both have been on my mind all weekend. I does sound like he has turned the corner. Prayers still go out to both of you. Much love, Tammara and Bailey
Murphy, we are so, so, soooooooo happy you are feeling better and your mom must be so relieved. Take care and keep getting better. Big doodle hugs from both of us for you and your mom.
YES!!!! Soooo happy, Jane! Murphy will continue to be in our prayers! You go, MURPH,go get that toy! Looking forward to more positive news! Jane - you are so very lucky to have such a wonderful vet... it is clear how much she truly loves her job!
The prayers have WORKED! Not only is my guy feeling better, he's full of three days worth of "pent up" energy. He's terrorizing his brother, trying to take all the toys, jumping on and off the bed every five minutes, having zoomies. To top it all off I decided to take him for a little walk to get him some fresh air. We saw another dog and he went completely nuts, and he clearly had the strength of Hercules! I could barely hold him.....I'm going right to the training group and confess that I was a total failure. So, STOP THE PRAYERS! LOL. It really is so awesome that he's feeling so much better. We're all so relieved.
Yeah for Murphy! FAILURE?! NO WAY! You are one wonderful doodle mom! Don't you just love when they're up to their old antics after being so sick! This is truly a blessing!
Deep Sigh! "Ahhhhhhhhh"
As far as 'your confession' - you're in good company! I think I may run for president of that 'group' - LOL :o) :o) :o) :o)
Oh Jane, this is such GOOD news!!! I have to admit that I am happy to hear that Murphy is his old wild self again!! Better THAT than sick!! The training can come later!!! :) You just made my day!!
Jane, I think Murph has turned the corner, thank goodness, all those doodle prayers and good vibes helped, of course the vet has a little something to do with it, lol, but whatever it was that worked or a combination of both( jmo of course,) Murphy seems to be returning to his old self again...I know it is guraded right now, but I think he is...You go Murph, we are all just thrilled that you ate and are running and ready to play with your brother. I heard you were a little naughty on your walk, but whoo hoo, to me that is a wonderful sign!!!...In a few weeks Mom may have to rope u in, but for now, just be Murph, fun and happy and a wonderful doodle. (ok, Jane, I know I am bad telling him to mis behave, but I can't help it, there will be plenty of time to correct his behavior thank goodness....Hugs to all of you....
