I have two Goldendoodles whom I love equally... but you might not know it to look at my photos. Stanley, at 9 months is a natural model! He loves to pose; sits patiently for any photos and is very cooperative. Stella, my almost 4 year old is another story! She avoids the camera, hides when she sees it come out and blinks or closes her eyes in most photos. Funny but sometimes frustrating, as I love to get pics of my kiddos... furry and two legged! Anyone else have this problem?
Same problem with are doodles, infact your Stanley sounds just like our Murphy & Stella is just like Emmet our F1b!! I'd LOVE to be able to get more pics of Emmet.......I also feel bad about adding pics on here not to many of them are Emmet=(
I will post a pic later of Emmet with his eye's shut lol!! The last time I took pics of him all 20 had his eye's closed...how in the world do they know??
I have had some success with Haley's eyes open in photos by holding a treat in my left hand as I support the camera and say "Haley, look". It works most of the time. otherwise he either closes his eyes or turns his head.

Yes! Buddy is a poser and Kona turns away or runs when she sees the camera lense come out. I have more luck with Kona whan I put them together though since she truly adores her brother :) I also notice when we are out at the park etc. if I get them when they are playing I can get some great photos of my shy girl.
I only have one Doodle, but he has two personalities when it comes to having his picture taken! Most of the time Bernie poses politely, but just recently he's taken to barking at me as soon as he sees my iPhone in position! He'll get up, bounce around, and bark in the direction of the camera. He can't be a teenager already at 4 months can he?!
Well I only have one doodle, and she only has one opion of any camera, and that is Disdain!!! It doesn't matter if it's my camera or my iPhone, she hates anything that takes her picture, and it kills me! Just this morning I grabbed my iPhone to snap a picture of my DH(who has a holiday today) and the two dogs who were all asleep in the bed. Wrigley was sound asleep, but as soon as I whipped the camera out, she jumped up! I don't know how she even knew I was in the room!!! I've already got anxiety about Christmas cards coming up!
Definitely Calla is the more photogenic of my two. Not because of posing or anything, she just is. Some people think Luca is more attractive in person, though. Me, I just think they are both so beautiful when I look at eyes looking into my eyes--prejudiced I guess.
Whether it is me with the camera or someone in public who says can I take a picture, both of my girls turn their backs to the camera. I have to catch them asleep or playing to try and take pictures.
Yes, my black/silver doodle is not as photogenic as my chocolate girl, but it's by no means because of his shyness for the camera fortunately. He's just not as photogenic. That being said, when I do take photos of pets, I always have my camera pulled out and ready. Have you tried just having your camera out and taking photos of "other" things without taking photos of Stella? I'm no trainer, but maybe by not taking any photos of her and by taking photos of other things with her being around could take of some of the pressure and make her feel more relaxed just being around that "thing" that gets pointed at her. lol! Maybe having a nice message when it gets pulled out without taking photos...I don't know...just suggestions. You might want to ask a trainer how to make her feel more comfortable. Good luck!
