Teddy's size

Teddy is now 5 months old and weigh's 40 lbs. He looks a little bigger every day. Can anyone guess how big he will be at a year? My neighbors are saying 80 lbs. I don't think that big. But, look at his paws (huge)!!!

He is a mighty big and beautiful doodle. Our Vern is almost 80 pounds and he is 9 months. We thought he would be around 60 pounds. How big were Teddy's parents? I am no expert, but I would say Teddy is going to be between 70-80 pounds. Just a guess though!!

His parents were a standard white poodle and a beautiful retriever. Both large, but not too large. So we will wait and see. The paws are so big for his size now. I hope he grows into them. Vern is a beautiful doodle. Thanks for the information.

Daisy weighed 35lbs at 4 months....she in now 2 weeks shy of one year and weights 60lbs....it's a crap shoot. The Vet told us that at 6 months the dog is really closed to 75% of her weight (if at a healthy weight and she is) and that bared out to be true by 2lbs under.

He is very, very cute! He looks like a nice squeezable boy - Teddy is a good name. I say the bigger the better. I think he would look good at 80lbs.

Yes, when we picked him up at the breeder he looked just like a Teddy Bear. Gavin is a beautiful doodle. I noticed his hair changed from when he was a pup. I read they lose there puppy fur. But Gavin got a lot more hair. Beautiful doodle. And sooo sweet looking.

10lbs + or minus - E Gads that's a lot of weight variance. Either way you are looking at a pretty decent size "gorgeous" pup.
The more I look at him the more I think "Teddy already looks like a big dog, even his face is big".

I agree. His face seems to grow faster than him. Maybe he will catch up to his nose! LOL

Do you remember how big he was at four months? Darwin was 25lbs at 4 months and is now 70lbs.... I think he will be big! By the way, he is SO cute!

I think he was 37lbs. He is just 5 months and was weighed at the vet today. He was 42.5 lbs. I can't believe he will be 70 lbs. But you may be right! I love your doodle's glasses. He is darling and looks so huggable. I love this site, all the doodles are sooooo cute.

Teddy is gorgeous! My Gracie Doodle is a big girl. Her mother was a very tall standard Poodle and the father was the Golden Retriever. Gracie had big feet and at 3+ years old is 73 lbs. and 27" tall at the shoulders. She is also an F1. It is interesting to see the straighter hair. And you say he doesn't shed? Amazing. I had always thought that the straighter the hair the more apt to shed. He looks soooo soft and silky. I bet he is fun to snuggle your face into!!!! ha ha
