Do you closely monitor you dood(s) going out?? I walk out every time cheering them on "GO POTTY!" "GO POTTY!" "GO POTTY!" until the actual "events" occur. And I usually have phenomenal success 2 for 2 or 4 for 4 in my case. But gosh all mighty when Bandy rings the bell or Rosey goes out and DH takes them and he brings them in, I will say "sooo what did they dooo" and he say's "i dunno" they did something! WTD aren't you watching?? Why do you go out there then?? to protect them from Lions, Tigers and Bears? And he says "YES! and dinosaurs, goblins, and ghosts!!" God save the DH!!
Oh yeah, full disclosure! Luckily, Gavin is a pathologically neat eliminator. Alwyas the same place, every time. So he rings the bell, out he goes and we observe from the window. He actually looks up at us through the window - "I see you watching me poo!" A party ensues when he comes back in.
We let Clifford out when he goes to the back door and let him stay out until he is ready to come in. We can see him from the window and will occasionally watch him but since we clean up the yard at least once a day we have a pretty good handle on what he's producing without watching him.
Oh yes, my DH has "learned the drill". I need a full report on what each of them did on their "potty walk", and a description of the poop....color and consistency. I got into that habit with Guinness's IBS and now it's just our "routine". If anyone ever overheard our conversation, they'd have both of us "locked up".
It could be very useful. You keep it with you at the dinner table. Then if anyone says or does anything you don't like, you threaten to read aloud from the journal.
