I'm contemplating getting a goldendoodle puppy and have been researching this site extensively. What has struck me is the adorable unique names and the more popular names for doodles. I notice a lot of Coopers which is perfect for a little boy. I also see a lot of Belle's and Bella's for little girls.

Share your doodle's name and how you came up with them! I just might find one for my future doodle.

Between my husband and me, we narrowed our choices down significantly because we couldn't agree on each other's favorites. Our grown daughter weighed in, too, narrowing the choices even further. 'Lucy' was chosen mostly because it wasn't disliked by anyone, and it was my husband's grandma's name too. Happily, the name fits Lucy to a tee!

We wanted a different name, if she had been brown , her name would have been "Hershey", and after much internet searching, we came up with Bella..Itallian for beautifull. THEN...after she was named, we realize there are 100's of Bellas..at that point we were not aware of the Twilight series ! But we love the name & can't imagine calling her anything else now..she is oue beautifull Bella Doodle :)

All our animals are named after literary folk. Edgar was named after Edgar Allan Poe. Edgar (sans the Allan Poe) just fit. His cat brothers, aka the Hooligans, are named Eliot and Oscar. Once you see your puppy, the right name will present itself.
