Here is an interesting Nova article I found today. It talks about the different way barks sound and what they mean. There is an interactive game you can play to try and identify the meanings. I did pretty horribly... how about you?

3 right. Not too good. Murphy slept through the whole thing. The cat however, was very interested.

Tara gave 2 little woofs during the "I see a stranger" bark, raised her head up during the"attack" bark and then went back to sleep.
