Hi

Does anyone have a doodle that greets you by pushing his head between your knees and standing with his body mostly out the other side facing the other way?

Its not like a groin thing (!) but Dylan likes to push his whole body through by our knees so all we have is his rear end in front of us. Its a bit like we become one of those push-me-pull-you two-headed creatures from Dr Doolittle!

He'll stand there for ages and if we move forward, he'll just scoot round to the front and do it again.

I do find that when his face it wet he'll do this to dry himself as I guess he doesn't like the feeling. But he does it every day when I get home from work, no wet face!

just wondered??

Molly does this all the time wet face or not. We had a lab that also did it. Lucky for us Bailee hasn't started doing it yet.
Murphy does this, but from the other direction....and he is huge. 29 inches at the withers.
I am 5ft 2.
If he is really in a wild mood he sort of gives me a ride. lol
Sheba does this all of the time! She does it to strangers too. It's funny when I have to remind strangers to close their legs so Sheba doesn't go between their legs, over and over again. One of these days she'll knock someone over!
K does it all the time, and we think it is his way of hugging us.
Thanks all

Dylan seems to enjoy it so we go with it and yes, at least it stops the jumping. It is lovely to have such a friendly greeting! But good to know he's not the only one too!
"his way of hugging us" I think that is a wonderful analogy.
Porter greets me buy rubbing his face on my legs and/or gently mouthing my arms and hands. He then starts using the outer seam of my pants to scratch his face...rub rub, grunt, groan, snarfle, lick lick, repeat.
Traveler will walk under the tray where my computer keyboard is located, then put his head between my knees. This is so cute it always gets a reaction. How he greets other dogs outside is a hoot! He lies down and waits for them to approach, then when the other dog is about two feet away, he jumps up all tail-waggy and grinning. It looks intimidating to people, but dogs don't seem to mind.

That's exactly what Peri does....lies, waits, then jumps!
Dustin does this to Fenway when he's tired of chasing after her and the tennis ball. He crouches down like she can't see him (really Dustin you're a big 75lb lump) and then jumps up at her and steals the tennis ball so he can have the glory of bringing it to me.
I can just picture Dustin being a little ball of fur, then springing. So great to get the 'fetch' glory. :)
I'd never seen this greeting behavior, and maybe it was just a short-term thing, because he's doing it less often now. Peri is adorable!
