Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hello Doodle Lovers,

This following questionnaire is a vital piece of market research for myself and would really appreciate participation. The topic is about a business that would offer pet massage therapy, boarding, doggy day care, and possibly grooming for your dogs. Please keep an open mind with this. Even if you would have no desire using any of these services your input will be of most help.

  1. Please rate in order of most important to least important when dealing with a service for your dog?
    • Low price
    • Quality of service
    • Close to home
    • Business-consumer relationship

  1. If business is out of city, would you still use this service? (eg. You live in the city or and the business operates in the suburbs, or vice versa)

  • Yes
  • No

  1. If you answered yes, how far will you be willing to travel? (approx distance in km’s)

  1. Whether you answered yes or no, would you be willing to pay for a pick up service?

  1. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being NOT important and 10 being VERY important, is a big yard for these services (most importantly boarding) important?

  1. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being NOT close, 10 being VERY close,  how close should this service be to parks, beaches, and walking trails.

  1. Please feel free to add additional comments or information pertaining to what you would/would not like regarding these services.

Thanks very much for all your input!

#4 Low price
#1 Quality of service
#2 Close to home
#3 Business-consumer relationship

2. If business is out of city, would you still use this service? (eg. You live in the city or and the business operates in the suburbs, or vice versa)

Yes, if I trust the caretaker

3. If you answered yes, how far will you be willing to travel? (approx distance in km’s)

10-15miles

4. Whether you answered yes or no, would you be willing to pay for a pick up service?

no, I would want to deliver

5. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being NOT important and 10 being VERY important, is a big yard for these services (most importantly boarding) important?

It depends on what the caretaker will do with my dogs all day long. If they are to be left outside, then yes, a large yard is a plus. If the caretaker takes my dogs on hikes and keeps my dogs inside, then no, large yard is less important.

6. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being NOT close, 10 being VERY close, how close should this service be to parks, beaches, and walking trails.

It doesn't really matter; all I care to know is HOW the caretaker will exercise my dogs.

7. Please feel free to add additional comments or information pertaining to what you would/would not like regarding these services.

I would want to know if they are licensed and bonded; if they provide referrals, and how they treat the dogs they are boarding. I would never leave my dogs in a kennel. I prefer in-home services with people I trust, who will exercise and treat my dogs the way I do.
great responses, thank you
Kaytlin,
I can't figure out how to answer above, so here goes.
1. Quality,Relationship, Close to home, low price
2. Yes ( I currently drive 35 minutes to the groomer and 25 minutes to the boarding kennel)
3. 45 minutes max. Also which direction is key. I use the boarding kennel that is on the way to the airport.
4. Yes
5. 10
6. Doesn't matter
7.I like in a rural setting and have to drive EVERYWHERE for services. My boarding kennel does daycare as well.
I do not work away from home , but if I go shopping for the whole day, I drop my dogs off at daycare. My kennel has many acres and a swimming pond as well as hiking trails.
Feel free to contact me if desired.
Jenn
