A while ago I was reading about someone who had made a diamond from their deceased pet. Intrigued, I searched around and found this. You send in a lock of hair or ashes from your pet, and they turn it into a diamond. Interesting... what do you think? Weird or touching?

I think Michael Jackson did this... Rather, the survivors of him did this, I think. One of my daughters is crazy about Butter and would not survive without him. So, I think she would love something like this. But, its really expensive!!
Weird!
Here is another place to look..... It is much cheaper, granted the gems are not diamonds either. The thing that caught my eye on this one is that your pets ashes actually determine the color of the stone..... So sad that I have had this link for years, ever since my first baby passed away. I think it is a beautiful remembrance and only you have to know the true meaning.

This one's price is 1/10 of the other one!!
I'm with F - weird!
I'm not a jewel/jewelry person and I don't find ashes or physical remains of my past dogs comforting. I prefer memories and photos.
Definitely not for me....my Doods will forever live right in my heart and not in some "gemstone" around my neck or wrist.
I took an environmental geology class a few years ago. Our instructor passed around an article of a man who did this with his deceased wife's ashes. A picture of the man, the ring, and ....... Several years later he got engaged again. Yep, you guessed it--the engagement ring was his dead wife.
This is even more weird. Ugh!
Whoa. That is weird.
Okay...that is just sick..."with this dead lady as a symbol of my love, I thee wed"....yikes! gross! Ughh! If anything ever happens to Murphy someone is going to have to turn me into a stone because I will surley die of a broken heart.
I am not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, I think it is a bit odd; but I really treasure the footprint that was made of our lab mix before he was cremated. And that sounds odd in itself!
