Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Where are you getting your dood's presents this year?  What's your favorite site?  Where do you find the best deals??  What is your DOODLE's favorite toy???  YOURs?

Bella loves her unstuffed fox toy, she's on her second.  Our retriever loves the kong squeaky tennis balls.  The lab likes nylabones.  I like anything that makes them happy :)

I find that Drs Foster and Smith have the newest and most diverse selection, while dog.com has the best deals . . . by far!  They have all of the essentials for dirt cheap prices and then some, so they are my new favorite go-to store.

I like getting Molly & Bailee's grooming supplies and toys from petedge.com.  You can find anything you want there at a very reasonable price and they are very helpful if you have any questions about any of their products.

Great find! Fantastic prices

I am getting my dogs antlers from antlerpantry.com

A sensible gift my dood and chi go bananas for!

Bones, bones, and did I mention bones?  Dear Boca bulldozes through bones.  She's managed to take full size 3 year old Nylabones down to 1/3rd of their length in the time we've had her.  So more bones for the doodles for Christmas.  All I can say is 'Phew!' that dogs don't know it's Christmas or else they'd have a much longer list of 'must-haves' like 'A squirrel farm' for Boca and 'My own play kitchen complete with human food' for Rosco...maybe an oven that self cooks baked goods.
Haha, "my own play kitchen complete with human food." If Pocket could talk, this is absolutely what he would ask Santa to put under the tree!

Sunny would definitely ask for "more time with mama" and "a couple of ferrets"

Reba, my dachshund, would ask for FOOD!!

We got Coco a larger bed (she hangs off the one she got as a puppy), some bully sticks (a newfound favorite), and a few toys...she goes CRAZY when she gets a new toy...worse than any of my kids ever were! However, I am looking for raised food dishes...have not found any I like or that I could afford (ones at PetSmart were VERY expensive).

My question is: how high should they be and has anyone found a brand/type they really like?

I recommend ones where you can switch out the bowls with standard size stainless steel bowls. That way if something happens to one they are easily replaceable or you can also buy a few to keep them clean. I went with the least expensive one I could find which is just a black metal frame that the bowls sit in, its about 8 inches off the ground and works well. I actually got it at Ikea but I don't think they are selling pet products anymore.

We've been shopping for Darwin on Amazon. We have free 2 day shipping because we are students, so it has been convenient. I don't know that it has the best selection, but it's pretty good and I like that there are lots of reviews. We have gotten him a treat dispensing ball and some treats, like Zukes minis. I am considering getting him a hide-a-squirrel, but I'm afraid he will destroy it immediately. Any advice?

I'm going to check out dog.com...

Our hide-a-squirrel disappeared in minutes too... at least the squirrels were destroyed pretty quickly. The tree trunk is still intact.  But pretty much anything softer than a Nylabone is going to be destroyed in my house.

Natalie has a kids toy that is similar to the hide-a-squirrel but she's hardly interested.

Peri would eat a hide-a-squirrel in 2 seconds :)

so would Tori!  No squirrels here.  In fact... I think if she ever got a hold of a REAL one, she may eat that too... they tease her so.... lol
