A strange growth on the roof of Camus' mouth, behind his front teeth

I noticed a small 'bump' on the roof of Camus' mouth last week and have been keeping an eye on it.  It's growing.  Here are two pictures of the growth, however it is a bit difficult to get him be still so they are not great.  The black spot on his gum is new too.  Has anyone had any experience with this type of growth?

Have you had a chance to get Camus' mouth checked? Just wondering what you found out about the bump and darker pigment area.  Please update!!

Camus had his checkup yesterday afternoon and the report is good.  It is a normal part of the dog's mouth, however in Camus it is rather pronounced.  I was told to check it periodically because it could be irritated by eating kibble, otherwise I should not be concerned.  So along with periodically checking his umbilical hernia, and the claw growing out of his pad, I will now do an oral exam!

Hi Christine...I am so glad I ran into you at CostCo and had a chance to meet you and Camus.  I''m also glad to hear that his mouth is just fine.  He is such a sweet boy!  Have a great Christmas and I hope Camus gets lots of fun toys and treats!

Hi Nancie,  I'm glad we finally had a chance to meet.  Camus gets so many toys I am almost at a loss as to what else to buy for him, but I'm sure to find him something fun.  And my Christmas just turned into something so wonderful I think I have to believe in Santa!  My son and daughter-in-law called this morning to tell me they had a little something for me.  They are giving me an airline ticket to visit them in France!!!!  I'm going to Paris!  I'm so excited.  Now to find a safe place for Camus for a couple of weeks.
