Dog friendly weekend getaway for Texans

DH and I are spending the weekend in San Antonio with Sidiqi, and we're having an amazing time. The Riverwalk is very dog-friendly. We're staying at Drury Plaza, which didn't even charge us extra for the room. The room's nice, the rate was great and includes a free hot breakfast. So far, every restaurant on the Riverwalk that has outdoor seating has welcomed dogs and brought him a bowl of water. The Christmas lights make it extra special. We're already talking about coming back in April or May, when it's warmer but not too hot.

Love the Riverwalk!  So glad to know that they are dog friendly there!  We need to take a trip there someday, it has been years!

OMD I am so jealous!! My parents live right outside of San Antonio and have visited the Riverwalk many many times (w/o doods) .  The Drury is so popular to stay, if I could just manage the 22 hour drive we would be there in a heartbeat!!  Will they let them on the cruise??

I have been wanting to go to the Riverwalk for so long now! Hopefully someday soon we can go with Darwin. Good to hear that it's so dog friendly.
