Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
This is my first year with my doodle (rescue from the Town shelter). We just had a huge snow. Well I learned Murphy loves the snow and comes in with TONS of ice/snow balls attached to his fur. How do you remove all of them. I have used a hair dryer today (he doesnt mind the HD), because otherwise he is biting/chewing them off. I didnt like that so much.
Thank you.

I do a finger sweep on each pad and in between each toe. Then I "comb" Zoe's leg with my fingers. It gets most out, then I towel dry and the balls comes off. The past couple days, we've had a deep snow, so I got the hair dryer out on a medium setting from a medium distance and semi dried her legs...
I have an old stock pot by the door with water for those muddy days. just a couple quick dips and it's off.
Thank you everyone for the ideas. They are great. Today we tried the stock pot by the back door. Murphy wanted no part of his paw put in the water, so we put a wash cloth in the warm water and then put that on his legs, butt and belly. It really did help.
Thank you again, and I do think I will be purchasing the paw washer thing. Looks great.
