My 5 month doodle can barely see. I'm trying to trim a little around his eyes, but the shorter I go, it seems that the hair sticks up in his eyes more! I'm looking for help with specific methods to clear his eyes so that he can see and I won't make him look silly. Thanks!!!

Here are pictures of Murphy's freshly trimmed eyes. His hair is pretty soft and fly away, so if it's too long around his eyes it gets into them. He has very long eye lashes that I leave long because I love them, unless they seem to bother him then I'll trim them a few times a year, Hope this helps. I should take these with my camera instead of my iphone, but I hope you get the picture. This is with thinning shears.

Thank you Sue. This is very helpful.. I'll wait til my thinning shears come in and then give it a try!
Here's Sophies' eye area.  I try to cut that area close and at an angle going down and outward.

thanks!!

Here's the photo, sorry.

I can see Cody's eyes! Got my new thinning shears in and went to work following much of the advice given here. I think he looks pretty good. He was kissing me while I was cutting so I know he appreciated it. I'll post a picture of Cody's new look when I get the chance (likely this weekend) Thank you all for your help and suggestions and photos of your beautiful doodles!
