I can't believe it.  I have a moaner.  Harpo is just six months old, and he moans "Aaaahhhhhaaa" when he lays down and gets comfortable.  I thought at first that it was Groucho Too, but he was right beside me, and it wasn't him.  Then I heard it again and again and realized that it was Harpo expressing his satisfaction.

Hondo was a talker and told me about everything he was thinking of doing or wanted to do.  He also could sob when he was sad.  So far, Harpo just moans, but we will see.  I guess if he can moan to try expressing himself, talking may follow.

Having had huskies for a long time I am used to the talking.  I wish Roo and/or Tigger were a talker.  No such luck though.

I have a moaner, too!  A Barry White type of moaner who expresses his satisfaction when he is relaxed and comfortable.  He also moans loudly when petted in the evenings!  While Capp is the frequent, several times a day moaner, Java Joe moans only occasionally.  They are half brothers but very different in so many ways.
Rua doesn't moan or talk, but when she wants to get up from a nap she will let us know!  I video recorded her "asking to get up".  The file was huge (99.5MB).  I used Windows Movie Maker (had never touched it before today) and did a little editing and then published it as a movie.  It reduced the file to 13.4MB!!!  Very cool!  So, I just also learned something that will help upload videos faster!  I am sorry that what you are looking at is tilted...I didn't know where the camera was pointing, I just know the microphone input was on the back!

Whopper sighs and grumbles but Simba is my big communicator. Simba cries, "talks", moans, sighs...and makes all sorts of other noises to get his point across.
