Doodles and XBox & Kinect

The girls bought DH the XBox 360 with the new Kinect for his b-day! Last night he got it all set up and was playing with it and Lucy and Sophie were going absolutely crazy. I tried to get some video, but just didn't work out as every time they see the camera they seem to stop what ever they are doing and turn their backs to me. They initially started by charging the TV and barking at the little cartoon characters in the set up video. Then once he started playing and jumping around the living room they kept running up to him (Lucy jumping up to give him hugs) and basically just looking at him like he is totally crazy. Like, who broke our Dad! Then we put on the Biggest Loser game (which is a fitness game)! Every time the girls would walk across the room in front of DH the box would detect them and this little doodle figure would come on the screen walking across the room. At one point it focused in on Lucy and lost DH altogether. It was so funny! Can't wait to see how the react today. Anyone else had similar reactions.

We also got a Kinect for dh's birthday. Holly is used to us playing wii and rock band so she wasn't too intrigued with it. It was fun to see the replays with her walking in the background :).

Our family got Kinect for Christmas. The doodles aren't too fascinated with it since we have Wii and they were used to that. I do enjoy there 3-D images that appear during the fitness game that we have - Your Shape. That is really neat! You can even see their tails wag! The cat walks across as well. I often try to block them out of the play area since the camera losses us when they come into the area for pets. If only they had a game for the doodles...
