As the temperatures drop here in Atlanta we are watching The Weather Channel.  It looks like Mississippi and Alabama are already feeling the ice and snow.  Stay warm and stay safe!

tell you son to try Shelly's kids snow day rituals mentioned on page one of this post (I was cracking up).  Spoons under their pillows, PJs on wrong side out and throw ice cubes out the door .... who knows, it could work!
25 in Nashville.  4-6 inches of snow!   Stay warm everyone!!!!
My Nephew and his wife are an hour out of nashville at Ft. Campbell ..... baby due any day ..... don't want too much snow there please!
Yep, they have a lot of snow there too!  We are getting more tonight.  I am sure it will ice over - tomorrow could be worse.  Hope your nephew's wife goes past her due date!!!!!

We have had about 9 inches of snow in Huntsville, AL.  Very unusually.  I can't remember the last time we had this much snow.  Max is afraid of the snow monsters (snowmen) that are rising up all over our neighborhood.  It is very funny to see him barking and backing up away from the snowmen.  I am going to try to get a video of this today.  In addition to our doodles we have a terrier mix with three legs who weighs about 17 lbs.  She is having a lot of trouble getting around outside in the snow.  They all have clumps of snow matted in their fur. I need to find the discussion about this that I saw a while back.  I did not read it carefully because I didn't think it would be something I would have to deal with.  Hope everyone is staying warm and safe.

It is 15 F here today with 7 inches of beautiful white fluffy snow..and yes .. school is still on and its still snowing. But we're used it here in SD!  I've lived in the carribean twice..once not far from the equator..I LOVE the SNOW and 4 seasons : )  Wilson loves doing ZOOMIES in the backyard with all the snow. I really think winter is his favorite season!
I'd only seen pictures of Doodles with snow-covered paws and fur until this morning. We have about 8" at our house in Chattanooga. Fitz is loving it. Web prefers sitting by the fire with me although he has been out a couple of times. I've become an expert (each time a little faster) at getting the snow off Fitz when he's ready to come in. Every time I say to myself, "I can't imagine living in a place where it's like this for months!"
Never tried to upload a video before. If it works, you can see Fitz bouncing in the snow in our backyard as I use the camera from inside the house.

I had to upload mine to YourTube and then copy the embedded code for video to work.

Too cute!  Is he barking at the snow, or does he usually bark in the yard?

How is this for snow? A few years ago we had a record total snowfall for the winter. We had 679 cm that equals 266 in or 22ft. Now call us crazy but when we were getting close to the record we were actually wishing for more snow. We live in a raised bungalow and the snow was so high we could not see our neighbours across the street. I didn't think we would ever see the front lawn again. This year so far we have none.
