I'm posting this information just so no one else makes the same silly mistake I did.

I spent over 5 minutes staring at the shelves of Orijen at our dog store trying to find our formula, which is the plain old Orijen Adult (teal bag).  Well, I couldn't find it and I went bag by bag looking for the same breakdown of 70, 20, and 0%.

Well, the plain old Adult formula now comes in a darker blue bag and is now 80% protein vs. the previous 70%.  I was staring at the bags the whole time, but didn't think it was correct because of the additional 10% of protein.

We just had a discussion about the change to Orijen:

Don't feel silly! It's better for us to have too much info than not enough. There are probably other people who missed that last discussion and will notice this one.

I knew about the change, but when we went to get some more, they still had one bag of the old formula.  However when I got home I noticed the price they charged me was $3.00 more than the sticker on the bag.  I called and they said with the new formula also came a new price increase.

At my local Pet Supplies Plus, the price of the Regional Red went up, but the Adult formula is still the same as it was before the change.

yes the new formula is more expensive beacuse of the increase in fresh meat, but they should have charged you the old price for the old formula. At my store, we get charged the old porce for the old formula from the supplier so havent changed the pricing for any of them yet (so customers are getting a deal on the new ones!)

And yes, the new packaging is annoying - the adult is pretty much the same colour as the 6 fish. And when they are lying down on the shelf they all have the same red bottoms. i get asked by customers EVERY DAY wheres the adult  formula!

Well, when I called they said they would give us a refund of the $3.00.  :)

The new 6 fish packaging is a very light blue (aqua) so its easy to tell the difference from the Adult providing your store has all new packaging.

Bigger bags are more hard to tell apart as they lay flat on the shelf and all formulas have red bottoms

And when all else fails, I look at the price on the shelf; the Adult formula is the less expensive than the 6 Fish.
we have resorted to making shelf labels especially for the orijen as we sell so much of it and its so confusing for people
