I have not yet tried this product but I have ordered four different sizes of these comb attachments for my Andis 2-speed UltraEdge Clippers.  I ordered mine through Lambert Pet Supply and they have to special order them directly from Kim Laub.  Because they are a special order you have to call them to place the order.  If so, be sure to mention the blade as well.   I have since found the Kim Laub website but they are a few dollars more expensive.  Since I am dealing with a "middle man" I guess my order might take longer but they are cheaper!  From what I can tell is that these comb attachments allow us to use clippers and keep our Doodle's length at 3" or longer depending on the size you use.  I don't know how to scissor cut and so I have always had to keep Gracie Doodle at 1 1/4" because that was the longest comb attachment you could buy.  I have been letting her grow out and she needs a touch up but I don't want to take her short so hopefully these should do the trick!  If you are interested in ordering them here is the website.  One thing to keep in mind is you will see that you "MUST" use the Mammoth Blade Cartridge.  This had me very confused because no where on the Lambert website did this item show up.  I called them and they gave me a call back after they contacted the Kim Laub Company.  In the meantime, I went to their site and found the same answer.  It is not actually a "cartridge" but instead a specific blade that you need to use with these combs. It is their Size #29 course blade.  Once I receive mine (probably in a few weeks) I will post the results of my grooming!

I'm looking forward to hearing how this works out for you. Always anxious to see photos!

Nancie, I'm trying to find the earlier post where there was a discussion about these longer combs to no avail. On the Andis clipper you use, are you using a #10 or a #40 blade? Please let me know when the combs arrive because I'd love to try them on Simon if they produce a good result.

Thanks. :-)

I am leaving in the morning for Boston.  My flight today was canceled so hopefully tomorrow I will make it.  I ordered the combs and then they called me back and said they would not fit my clippers.  I said that the add said they fit "MOST" clippers.  I told her I had Andis and Oster so she was going to call me back.  I haven't heard.  I have been working between two different persons and the one that called was not the one who was the most helpful of the two.  I will be home next Wednesday so I will call them and follow up.  At the moment I use my Andis clippers with a 10, 15 or 40 blade with a 1 1/4" comb attachment.  The #40 blade usually cuts through easier if the hair is really long.  In the beginning I always used the #10 with no problem.  I'll post when I know more next week.
Thanks Nancie. Have a good trip! :-)
Hi Nancy,  I just read your post about the Mammoth Combs that you ordered.  Did you ever get them and if so how did they work.  Did they fit your Andis clippers?  Wilson just turned 5 months and i think these combs would be great if they work.  I was thinking of ordering the 2.5 & 3" combs.  I do realize that i need to order the cartridge also.  I just don't want to waste money and find out that they really don't work that well on Doodles or that they don't fit my clippers. ( I also have andis)  Thank you for any help that you can offer.
Hi Everyone...sorry to be so long in posting back about the Kim Laube combs.  First off, it took forever to get them through Lambert Pet Supply.  In fact, after we talked back and forth as to whether or not they would fit my clippers, they said they would not so I thought my order was canceled but never heard.  In the meantime I went straight to the Kim Laube website and then called them.  The catch is that they are specifically made to fit THEIR clippers which are something like $300 or higher!  I explained what I had (Andis) and they said they would probably fit.  So, I ordered combs in all the sizes and the cartridge too.  The cartridge basically goes on in place of your blade...basically, it is the blade.  Well, they arrived and I was not impressed with the quality of the combs.  They are very thin plastic and are not stable and are sharp on the points where the other attachments are not so "weapon-like".  They are really cheap cheesy combs IMO.  So I tried to put the cartridge on my Andis clippers and it would not go on.  The cartridge is wider than the clipper base.  I got my Oster A5 clippers out and it fit.  It turns out I never got to use them on Gracie because her hair that I thought was really long wasn't even long enough for these attachments.  Also, because they were flimsy plastic the combs wouldn't go through her hair and would get caught up and pop off.  I completely combed the area on Gracie that I tested them on.  So, I figure Gracie will never have hair long enough to use these because the length she was at the time, was longer than we liked and she doesn't look good long.  Oh, forgot to tell you guys...so later after I get the order from Kim Laube, along comes the Lambert order so I now have two or three cartridges and multiples of some of the comb sizes.  If any of you are interested in buying them from me to see if you can get then to work for you, let me know.  They won't be expensive!!!!  I think they are a total rip off or else I just needed the $500 package and a much longer haired Doodle to make them work properly.  You can send me a private message through my profile if you are interested.  I have just bagged them up and forgotten about them!
I think you should send them back! Rip offs should not be encouraged.
Thank you so much for that information.  I was just one click away from ordering something that would not even fit my clippers.  I agree that you should send them back, especially the second set that you received.  Maybe if you call and complain they will reimburse your shipping cost.   Good Luck
