What Should Be In Your Doodle First Aid Kit?

I started thinking about this tonight after realizing that I don't have any Quick Stop in the house.  I don't do the Dood's nails, but there could still be a situation where I'd want to quickly stop bleeding.  The more I thought about, the more I realized that I need to put together a Doggie First Aid kit.  I'd love everyone's thoughts about what needs to be in that "kit".

Quick-Stop, gauze, vet wrap, peroxide, tweazers or tick remover, sterile dressings.... that's it off the top of my head!!  Probably a good idea to keep the vets phone number in there along with a copy of health/ vaccination records.

 

I did see a really good first aid kit advertised in a magazine and I can't remember the company that made it.  It came in a really nice bag and was designed for active dogs and theor owners.  I think it was either in the Modern Dog or Dogs in Canada magazine?

wine yes.  Sorry this has been a post on another issue, cant seem to get off it.  LOL  Seriously, glad you brought up the topic.  My fiancée (that lives with me) was worried he did not know our vets number or even where they were.  I have programmed the number on the phone and since posted an nice magnet on the refrig.  Time to share.

Yep we have a magnet too.  I need to get DH to probably program it in his phone.  We recently left the pups with a sitter and the vets said to leave a letter with him authorizing emergency medical care...

I'm with YOU, Suzann!  EWWWW!  I just popped on and will have to come back in the morning to thoroughly read all of these, but I was wondering (just recently in fact - when Tori chewed off and swallowed  THREE fingers of my son's batting glove) ... about hydrogen peroxide... I know this induces vomiting, but I heard sometimes they don't stop after on their own.  But maybe if it's something poisonous continuous vomiting is better than allowing the poison to go further in the digestive tract... at least until you can get to the ER.
