Ok, there are soooo many of you with absolutely adorable snow pictures of your doods.  We are headed up to the mountians in a couple of weeks.  what should we bring for our girls?

Lots of towels/blankets for when they come in soaked.  Mine always seem a little cold so I cover them up.  I would also make sure you have your brushes/combs because you don't want them going out and getting soaked without being combed out first (don't want any matts to get set in).  Are your girls used to the cold/snow?  If not, I'd take boots for them if you plan to be outside a lot.  Oh, and don't forget the camera!  Have fun, they are going to love the snow!

Camera will be loaded and ready to go!!  Thanks for the reply.  My girls have never seen the snow nor really cold weather.  It hasn't gotten below 35 here is southern california yet this year but we are only an hour or so from the mountains.  Lots of snow. I don't think they even sell doggoe booties locally...haha, I will have to order them online.

I would also highly recommend mushers secret.  This will help protect the paws from salt and ice.  Some dogs keep the booties on and others dont but the mushers secret is a great help in protecting the pads and areas in between.  When you return to California, mushers secret is also good for protecting the paws from hot roads so it will come in handy.

I completely agree with this.  My guys will NOT wear their boots...they "flip out".  The Mushers will help.  I second the towel recommendation.

Where do you buy Mushers secret? I have a terrible time trying to keep boots on Hudson, and even on short walks his paws really bother him. I had to carry him home on a recent walk.. boy was I tired!!

Oh yes! I just remembered a girl at the vet's office recommending that as well....I totally forgot. Thank you!! I worry with those webbed feet that snow will get up in there and freeze their little footies...lol.  You are right, I will use that all of the time anyway. We camp at the beach all of the several times a year and the main road through camp gets very HOT!  Great suggestion, thanks.  xxoo

Okay, I just Googled Musher's Secret and ordered some to have on hand for Gracie.  I ordered mine from Amazon.  It comes in many sizes and it is also sold at many of the pet supply sites that Google gives you.  They say it is also good for summer time on hot pavement.  We also live in So. Cal so it will be good to have handy.

Ordered my Mushers Secret a acouple of days ago. Should get here in plenty of time for our trip...however, there is a chance now that there won't be any snow...lol. Go figure!
