When we first got Chewie he was really a handful.  He was like having a land shark for a pet.  Last Christmas he was a little over 4 months and very mouthy.  My DH and I were talking about Christmas morning last year and how "bad" Chewie was.  Chewie would jump up and try and grab or bite everything you had in your hand.  Chewie got my poor son on the arm and he starting crying and said" Christmas isn't supposed to be painful!"  Needless to say Chewie watched most of the festivities from his kennel.  This year he was so good.  We "all" enjoyed Christmas together.  If you keep up with training and dedicate yourself to having a well behaved dog it is well worth all of the joy that they bring.

I so agree. Max was a handful too. I called him my vampire puppy. We haven't done as well as we should have with training but what we've done has done wonders. He is now 2 1/2 yrs old and has mellowed and is the joy of our lives.
I think I will send this to my son!
You all of us with puppies hope!  Rooney has never really bitten, or shredded or chewed anything that he shouldn't but he does jump up and grab clothes - while you are wearing them.  :(        The only thing he has ever ruined, a very very expensive sweater that now has a tooth hole in it.
Yay!! I am glad that youall had a nice holiday!! Great job, Karen P and Chewie!!!

Thanks!
