BEST....GROOMER.....EVER!!!!

The girls had their first official grooming apointment today and I couldn't be more thrilled.  I HIGHLY recommend: Taj Mapaw Spaw in Aniheim Hills. Diane and Liz were sooooo amazing.

 

Why I loved them so much?

1. They spent lots of time getting to know my girls before they jumped in and started grooming
2. They have a wonderful yard for the dogs to run around in before and after apts.
3. The dogs don't sit in crates for hours at a time.... Infact, there are no crates.
4. The dogs are groomed right at appointment time so there is very little overlapping with other dogs.
5. Diane has many doggie beds & couches for the pups to relax on before and after,(they look cozy)
6. And..... They love dogs...Look at Liz (groomer) and Penny.  She sent these pics to me right before pick up.

Wow...they look great.  You are one lucky lady to have found a great groomer.  Too bad I am two hours from Anaheim!!!  How much did they charge you?

They are so reasonable.  If you click on their website above and look under services you will see their prices.  We got the middle package and she gave us  ten dollars off for being new so.... it was $40,00 a girl and  I'm not kidding when I say that I'm thrilled. I was expecting something like a trip to the vets office.  My girls didn't want to leave.  They wanted to keep playing with toys and chasing Diane's three dogs around,,,lol, it really is a doggie spa.

 

They trimmed and cleaned them up, did their ears, toes and bottom, wash and dry...and, they smelled yummy and had adorable little bandanas on.  So cute! Nancie, maybe you can plan it around a romp or something.

OMG I could weep. I have just read your post and if you look at my most recent post, you will see the pain I am going through with my girl. My beautiful 90 lb doodle looks like a shaved sheep with skinny legs. We paid $110 in all and truly I am ashamed to take her out like this. She has a beautiful, soft curly fleece coat that is all gone, plus her 2 inch eyelashes. I SO wish I had seen this post before yesterday. I live in Orange County so this groomer is definitely on my list, if ever my poor girl grows back from this hack job....:) Thank you for posting it.

Frances, this is where Johnny (then Figaro) had his first evening out haircut after I picked him up from Christine.  They really are super!  I just had Ginger groomed there on Friday and wasn't thrilled with the way her eyes looked... sort of sunken in.  I called Diane about 2 hours after I picked Ginger up and she told me to bring her back any time and she would be happy to fix it.  She said, "I want to make it right so you and Ginger are happy with how she looks".  I brought her back, Diane trimmed her head and cheeks and she looks great now.

I gotta say...based on what you are saying and experienced...this is the Doodle find of the century!  A real keeper from the looks of it!  I'm glad Frances got the info.  Frankie Girl is a big beautiful white girl and I can just feel the pain in France's voice regarding yesterdays haircut.  And now she has her Johnny Boy so this will be a perfect "spa" for her babies!!!  Maybe a road trip for me???

This is where I've been going!!  My dog had a lot of special requirements --her leg was pinned together, she had surgery, etc, but really needed some grooming.  I took Kirby there and Diane was able to clean her up (she had to clip her) and then as soon as the pins were out she got a regular bath.  Kirby loves going there.  BTW, Kirby's coat has already grown out and she looks cuter than ever.

I posted Taj Mapaw Spaw on the looking for groomer thread, so I am glad that you went there and were pleased.  I see someone else posted her name, too.   She told me she is dooing lots of doodles now.
