Hello friends. Just waned to put this one out there. Last week, we rescued "Johnny". Thankfully, the wonderful Doodle Rescue pulled him from a kill shelter, paid for all his surgical needs (to which I am running a fund raiser to help off-set some of the costs) and placed him with a wonderful foster mum, who I eventually obtained him from. He is young...perhaps 12 months as per my vet...but he has a few hang ups and fears and I am wondering if they will ever go away with time and love.

I'm glad to hear that Guinness already feels so comfortable with his new family! And I think your advice to Frances is right on the money.

Starlit has been part of our family since last March.   I was just thinking today how far she has come with her severe fears.  I truly thought they would NEVER get better.   Sure, we still have some, but her Trust, Her Confidence, and Her Love for everyday life is beginning to show so strong recently.

At first is was 1 step forward and 10 Steps back.   It was so heartbreaking.

I can't tell you the love you will feel once this bond strengthens.

So be patient.   I think we progressed so slowly, moss grew twice.   But we have come so far in almost a year.   I really think some of our veteran dogs are exactly what these rescues need. n  And you have the Best in Frankie. Spud needs to be given a lot of credit too.   We all have.   Especially Starlit.   She tries really hard.   There are days she gleams from FINALLY being able to try something we never thought she would overcome.

Can't wait to see some new pictures and I'm glad it is getting better.
