My Guy sure does Love getting wet, he digs into the water bowls & drags it around all the time gettng happier & happier as he gets wetter & wetter.( a habit I def will work to break)
Now I might be able to over look the wet water/ mud mess on my wooden floors but What about his flea meds?
These flea meds go on the back of his neck & as messy as he is getting he needs baths a lot. The meds wash off even the "water proof" ones I know bc my guy now has fleas while the others don't.
My dilemma is Water/Mud mess vs Flea Free....

Try a "Buddy Bowl" and that should keep the water contained.
But he shouldn't need a full soap + water bath each time. Can you just rinse off his paws and legs where he's most muddy without using shampoo? Frontline and Frontline Plus shouldn't 'wash off' -- as long as you wait 3 days after application to bathe your dog it should be fine. The medication distributes to pores (or was it oil glands?) where it is released over the period of 6 weeks regardless of baths.
I wish it was him only getting his legs & feet LOL He is so small still mud reaches up to him practically & covers him.
I've used frontline & the FL plus on my lab it isn't as water proof as you'd think. :/
I did that with my lab & he still is getting them, I just found them on him :( & I haven't bathed him in awhile bc of his dry skin.
I'm actually not the first TXn I know to complain about Front Line not working here for dogs that go out, but I was out of flea meds & got it at petsense.
