Last night I noticed that Rua had what looked like a little scab, surrounded by a red ring right before her pee-pee.  I gave her a bath and washed the area last night.  Tonight I checked it again.  The dark area is much larger and the ring around it is raised and slightly red.  She also has, what looks like an abrasion above and slightly to the left.  I just now wiped it with hydrogen pyroxide.

We went to California last Thursday and just came back late Tuesday.  She was playing quite a bit with her "cousin" Remy, so I suppose it is possible she got bit.  But, equally possible, it was a bite from some insect.  I don't have her on any flea/tick stuff right now (the vet said I could wait and start in spring...didn't think about that in bringing her out to California).

She doesn't seem bothered by it...no problems with eating, potty or pooing!  Same energy level as normal.

Any ideas????  Should I take her to the vet hospital tomorrow morning if it still looks like this or should I go now????  I told my DHI was going to take a picture and post it...he was appalled I would post her little pee-pee...but I told him that I was sure someone would know what this was and what we should do!

Thank you!!!!

Rua's red mark that turned brown (probably the hydrogen pyroxide) is pretty much all gone.  The outer ring area is now just the little brown and the middle looks normal. I can't believe how much every runny poo, sneeze, or little boo-boo makes me think the worst.  When I had Ceilidh before, I was never aware of all of the things that could happen to a dog and what could make them sick.  So in some ways, DK has armed me with knowledge and in other ways, it has made me aware of what I didn't know.  Kinda a double edged sword.  The good thing is knowledge is power and I'd rather be surrounded by friends that care about their Doodles than live in a isolated world.

Glad to hear that, I'm always a bit leery of advising watchful waiting from a distance but it's what I almost always do.
Glad to hear it is starting to go away. I can relate to you on worrying about every little thing!
So I think it is safe to say that little Rua just had an owie from playing with her California cousins.  If you had a Tom Boy like my Gracie Doodle, you would see scratches and poke marks all over her tummy!!!!  ha ha  Glad to hear she is going to live...lol
P.S.  Thank you all for your advice, caring and concern.
I didn't get a chance to read through all of the responses so you might already have a reply like this. Ginger had exactly the same thing. My vet said it was a little staff infection and very common. He gave her antibiotics and a medicated shampoo for her belly and private area. They started clearing up almost immediately.
I guess It can occur from laying in damp grass or soil where preciously there was a.... deposit. That warm, bare skin is no match for the bacteria. It gets right into their pours.
Anyway, sorry if this is a duplicate reply.

My best to sweet lil’ Rua. Keep us posted.
