We will hand out one point for each of the bullets.  At the end of the week we will have a parade to honor the winner(s).

This week's challenge:

  1. Complete an exercise workout (your choice, whatever challenges you. Work at your own pace)
  2. Do something nice for yourself (long bath, mani-pedi, quiet time with a book...you get the idea)
  3. Post something inspirational.
  4. Make a good food choice, feel free to share the recipe or a great trick for staying on track.

Let's have a great week.  It's still January...lol so hey, let's have a great YEAR!!

Woo Hoo!!!!   That's awesome....keep up the great work!  Snowing crazy here today....so no outdoor work....but your post reminds me that I have a treadmill collecting dust.  I  AM  going to use it TODAY!  Thanks for the inspiration!
You will!  You're doing GREAT!!!! Go, Go, GO!

yesterday/today

1. walked Porter 30 min yesterday and today.  Hoping to go to Zumba/Belly dancing tonight

2. went to bed w/o working or cleaning the kitchen

3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dT6aEuZKpC4

I met this man a few years ago.  He is now 54 and still exercising with oxygen in a backpack.

4. slow cooker pork loin: 2-3 lbs pork loin, "some" thai chili sauce & "some" bbq sauce & 1/2 cup water, 8 hrs on high.  Make tacos or sandwiches with it.  Homemade coleslaw using Newman's Own balsamic vinagrette.

That is really impressive.  Think where his health would be WITHOUT exercise....Gosh.  I have nothing to complain about.

I hear you!  After I met him, I felt so inspired--a person can make a decision and stick to it and that is that.  He even has a video series on what exercises to do when in the hospital.

Tons of studies have shown that mental and physical aging is slowed by regular exercise.

On top of that long terms stuff is the mood regulation.  Everyone needs to have positive chemicals in their brain to keep us from being depressed.  Some people drink, do drugs, eat, shop, clean--and they get a rush from this stuff.  I get a rush from some of that stuff...and reading doodlekisses too.  Exercise is one of the highest highs though :-)

Whole day was a bust!

1. did not exercise

2. watched grandson win his basketball game - always a pick me up

3. will start all over tomorrow

4. made very bad choices - very stressful day at work

Start over tomorrow girl.  We can help each other by checking in and following up with each other.

Wed.

1. Pilates for 30 min., exercise bike for 4 miles

2. had the day off from work, ate lunch w/mom,neice & her beaautiful new baby boy

3. no matter how bad a day seems, if you get another one it's a blessing

4. ok food choices, ate at English tea room, should have skipped dessert

Thurs.

1. no time for exercise

2. another grandson basketball game - the intensity there should be good for something exercise wise

3. sharing time with family is always worth the cost

4. pretty good food choices today

Fri.

1. just plain lazy

2. cuddled with doodles all evening

3.rest is good for the soul

4.not so good eating today

Bust for me yesterday too.  After work I had to grab my kid from school and then take my girls to the vet for some on going diarrhea issues. By the time we got home I had to throw dinner together, them homework, dishes...blah blah blah.

I did eat well though, so only one point for me.

Wednesday -- This morning was a struggle.  I didn't sleep well and made the mistake of getting up for a little while about 1:30.  That in turn woke the girls up and they did not want to settle back down.  Ended up wanting to go outside (in the 40 MPH winds and rain and freezing cold at 3am) so when it came time to get on the treadmill this morning I was thinking let's just go back to bed ...... however, I told myself NO EXCUSES, get your butt in there and get moving.  Once I got started I was now.  Now it is double treadmill day so gotta meet DH at the Y at 4:30.  I'm thinking that Pedi sounds pretty good for tomorrow.
