Standard Poodle in Sled Dog Team!!

We went to watch some sled dog racing today.  While most of the teams were huskys or husky type dogs, one of the teams had two standard poodles!!  We didn't actually see the poodles race, they must have been before we got there, but here are a couple of pics I did get!!

 

After reading about the tragic events in Vancouver, it was lovely to see these dogs so fit, healthy, and obiously happy in their work.

I remember reading that post... I always knew standard poodles were cool, if only we could stop them doing those ridiculous haircuts!!

In the kids race there was a goldendoodle ski-jouring (?sp?)  with a little girl.  He was going too quick for me to get a picture though!!

yay poodles!  seeing that skinny white clipped poodle makes me feel less guilty about porter getting a summer cut in feb :-0

Yep, those poodly doodles are skinny.  I have a labbish doodle and a poodly doodle, so I have one of each type!!  My poodly doodle is just a bag of bones, muscle, and skin - I doesn't matter how much we feed him!
