I've got a million of em!......lol......They are never as good as they look in the vitual world.....and I can assure you that the virtual world is a sea of mediocrity!....

As far as horror stories?....well.....I can start with the guy who had 7 wives, ( polygamist...no lie!!) 3 aliases, and an FBI file!....I only found out about all this because one of his wives was kind enough to contact me and spill the beans......

I can also tell you about my seemingly sweet and mild mannered former boyfriend who I shockingly came to find out had a yen for posting naked photos of himself and advertising at online swinger sights!.......

I can say that they were all cat lovers......figures....lol.....

I have actually had so many horror shows as far as men go I am very happy to be single. I can't even imagine having to put up with someone who might question my decision to have three dogs who love cuddling with me on the couch while I watch tv or write on my laptop - where would he even sit?? I guess there aren't many men who would be willing to sit on the floor while my three babies sit with me!!

funny! I had one experience with someone who looked really nice and not from half way across the country. He was too good to be true, and after several emails, finally proved that there is no such thing as too good to be true. He sent me very suggestive email, like what did I like to wear in shower, et.al other very naughty questions, i set at my computer horrified and felt like I had just learned for the first time, how bad some people can be. One other experience was with a dating agency, and my date was very nice. Out to dinner, saw lots of people I knew or that knew him, and found out the next day, that he was a married man, via a neighbor that wanted to know what I was doing out to dinner with such and such's husband. So, I stay single, and do not even try, and am waiting for the proverbial butterfly to just land on my shoulder or the Prince to find me, as I will never dare to look again. kl

Yes...Married men are a problem in the virtual medium!...lol...been there myself.....and I too am waiting for that butterfly......Haven't you heard? There are few butterflies these days thanks to global warming and pestcides!..lol

I started checking out online dating sites last November after my divorce was final.  I was very shocked at the number of emails I got; most looked like my father-in-law (i.e. Santa Claus) or were much much too young.  I'll admit that I'm kinda picky but still, I am not attracted to the old man look.  I want someone who takes care of themselves because I do.  There were a couple that seemed really nice, but then like Kathryn said, I too got an email asking all kinda of suggestive questions, I mean REALLY personal stuff.  I never did get brave enough to actually go out on a date with anyone so I'm still single; not that I'm looking to get married anytime soon but it does get lonely trying to go out to eat or to the movies, or just snuggling on the couch etc. I'd always had a dog for company but then lost both my elderly dogs within a few months of each other this year.  So now I'm thinking a Goldendoodle might be all the man I need. haha   He will move in with me in October this year.  (can't wait!)

btw - maybe we should start a Goldendoodle dating site (for single men who love Goldendoodles and want to meet like-minded ladies).   :-)     Are there any on this site????
