I get my puppy in two weeks.  In the past, I have never had pet insurance in the past & things have gotten quite expensive with knee surgeries and treatments.  Not so much when my dogs were young, but when they became older.  I was wondering if there is any recommendations on insurance plans as I plan on getting some this time around.  It just makes sense.  I'll take any advice.  I've been considering Pet Plan which handles the catastrophic stuff.

That is beautiful.. She is just a gorgeous dog and it sounds like you had many adventures together, even with her joints being a problem.  Thank goodness she had you for her "Dad", being a swimmer yourself.

I just really like your videos.  I had the chance to look at a couple of them today.  You have a great singing voice! I apologize for calling Cedar "he".  I see that she is female!  I should have gotten that earlier...my sister has a girlfriend named Cedar.  Your girl is just so adorable.  I want to get a tent, etc. like that for my 2.

Maggie was a great dog ... got along with dogs & people alike & absolutely loved the water.  I'm not ashamed to say that I really do miss her and it's been 4 months.

The videos are new with me as I just did get a camera with video capability.  I plan to learn though & Cedar will be one of my main actors.  I need to brush up on the singing and the guitar.  It's hard to find stuff that isn't copyrighted.  I put a video up on YouTube and they turned the sound off because I was using a performer's music.  So I just went with mine.  My biggest problem is messing up half way through a recording and not wanting to start all over... I think Hallelujah is the best so far.

Here is a picture of Hayden and Ranger.  Ranger is half chow and half black lab & has cinnamon highlights that really show in bright sunlight. She also has a black-spotted tongue.  Ranger is a neighbor's dog who lives about a mile from me.  They pay absolutely no attention to her & just let her wander.  Their name for her is "Rager".  I changed it.  She had real aggression issues a couple of years ago, but after training her a bit and hiking with her(I live on the edge of a rain forest in the Pacific NW) ... she's a sweetheart.  She loves everyone now and is much calmer.  I don't think she has ever had a collar or leash on her.
Oh, sweet picture...can you just adopt her? These dogs need training and attention.
Don't you wonder why some people bother getting a dog at all?? I have a neighbor that has four beautiful dogs chained up outside and here in PA, there is nothing you can do as long as they are providing food and shelter. I often hope they get loose and run as far away as possible from this jerk. Beautiful picture. I wish they would let you have Ranger.

I agree about the way some treat their dogs.  Here is some more photo spam ... one is of Ranger & Maggie frolicking in the stream that is on my trail.  It was taken about a year and a half ago.  I try to hike as often as I can & did so this morning with Ranger.  Maggie loved the trail & that's where I spread her ashes.

The second is another of Hayden and Ranger.  Ranger looks like a little pig in this picture, but you can tell how happy they both are. Those two are made for each other.
