Reading Sue's post about Bella eating her own poo-poo reminded me that years ago I had a friend who had the same issue with a Shitzu rescue. Besides eating her own poo Ginseng also rarely associated with the rest of the family.

The communicator had been brought to town by the local PBS station for a fund raiser and locals could book sessions with her. So my friend took Ginseng for a session and I tagged along. It was pretty interesting actually.

After talking silently with Ginseng the communicator was able to advise my friend as to why her dog ate poop how to get her to stop and also how to get her to interact with the family. After implementing the suggestions given her by the communicator, my friend's dog DID stop eating her poop and also became integrated into the family.  It was pretty amazing really!!

Has anyone else had any experience consulting with an Animal Communicator for their doodles or other animal companions? And what are your thoughts about the concept of "Animal Communicators" in general?"

Sue I think you may have created a new dog TRAINING method!! The Positively-Mystical dog training system!! LOL!

Even if it doesn't work you now have something to do to entertain yourself during those long and lonely night time hours when insomnia sets in!! :)

Yes, please keep me posted!

Yes! I could carry on conversations with both of them during the wee hours!  Well, not with Murphy, he's a typical male at night, sleeps like a log. But Bella is more like me, a light sleeper, so we can talk about all kinds of things....balls, birds, bling on her collars, a new hair style, maybe some cologne choices, what colors to re-upholster her bed....  The list is endless.
Sue, You are just too funny!  Did you ever hear of visualization?  My former boss was into all of that and she was a high powered executive.  There is something to all of this......you know, the higher powers?  The universe speaks to us in many ways and certainly through our pets.  I truly believe that our pets are just much kinder in the way they communicate to us than our best friends.  I also think they like when we communicate back to them in a kinder way.  I am still practicing on how to do this with our "problem child", Sydney.  With 2 Doodles, one Doodle listens and is as obedient as can be while the other (our first Doodle) is just the opposite.  So, it doesn't seem to be my doggie parenting skills.  There is more to this and I just may take our Sydney to the Animal Communicator tomorrow.  Kathy and I have many theories on Sydney's behavior.   We keep on blaming the breeder and we really need to let it go............

Oh I totally believe in visualization and have done it many many times. When I read the book "A Dog's Purpose" and thought about how the dog "felt" peoples emotions and even their spirit, if they were mean spirited or kind, it all made so much sense to me.

As for the breeder, yes let it go. So much can be retaught regardless of how they started out and blaming isn't going to solve anything as you know. It may just be easy for me to say due to the fact that I have an amazing breeder and two amazing dogs, (other than the poop eating!). But I have read where so many really mistreated and neglected dogs have been adopted and turn out to be such great dogs with the right interventions. Let us know what the Animal communicator says.

Sue, I will ge going to the Animal Commicator alone with Sydney.  Kathy is just not into it!  But as far as the "poop eating", we need to share an experience with you that we had with our Olivia.  She sticks her nose into everyone's business.  While we had our Mom (Doodle Grandmom) here last Easter, Olivia was out in the yard doing her business.  Well it was hard to keep an eye on our Mom and watch Olivia in the yard.  Well, Olivia came into the house after sticking her nose into someone's poo (it may have been a cat's or racoon's - we don't know).  About two days later, Olivia was violently ill.  We rushed her to the emergency at 2:00 in the morning.  She was poo'ing blood.  It was soooooo scary.   We thought we were going to loose Olivia.  We can't even imagine the pain she was having.  And, Olivia is our angel Doodle (she couldn't be a better pet). She contracted a parasite from the poop.  It took a few days until Olivia was comfortable.  Luckily the emergency room gave her intravenous fluids, antibiotics and a pain pill and then we took her to the vet the following morning.  It was a mere $800 for poop eating.  Thanks goodness Olivia was OK after the meds.

You have definitely given me the extra push to do everything in my power to stop this nasty habit. I will be waiting the hear what the Communicator says about Sydney and if it helps. I will do just about anything to "cure " this!  Especially in light of all the caution we take with vaccinations, clean water, baths after dog parks, to keep them healthy, I'll be darned if they are going to get sick from poop!

Gail did you and Sydney make it to see the Animal Communicator? Any news to report?
I had to go to my Mom's to take her to the Doctor so I didn't make it to the Animal Communicator.  I am hoping to get in touch with the Animal Communicator through my friend who is The Rock Lady (psychic).  I still am interested in taking our Sydney Doodle to get enlightened.  My sister Kathy said she can guess what the communicator will tell us.  I just seem to think there is more to Sydney then what is obvious.  Thanks for following up.

Oh, that's too bad! I hope your mom is doing okay!

Well, I do hope you get a chance to see someone who can help you guys and Sydney to understand each other better. When my friend took her dog, she also took her OTHER Shitzu for a session at the same time. But the second dog really had nothing to say to the communicator! She just kept telling her about her toys and her bed and stuff around their house. I guess she was well adjusted!! LOL! So I hope Syndey will be willing to "tallk"! And it will be interesting to see if Kathy calls it right!!

Sure why not?  I think there are people that have very in-tuned senses and things like that.
I have an animal communicator that I call regularly. She is amazing and has helped tremendously. We were having some food issues, mostly not eating, and she told us that our doodles HATED the food we were feeding them, LOL. Said it tasted like cardboard! So, we transitioned to a different food and started adding green beans or peas ( the doodles requested green veggies), and it has made a world of difference. They eat regularly now, no issues!

Cardboard!! That cracks me up!! From the looks I get from Tara sometimes I think I might get a similar message!

It's wonderful that people have this gift that enables us to make our animals lives a little better!
