Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

We would LOVE for you to participate if you are looking for some accountability.  Here's how you can play along.  Give yourself ONE point each day in the following four areas.  At the start of the next challenge, I will crown the winner and we will have a comment parade.  I would also encourage everyone to post something really encouraging for the winner. There's absolutely nothing wrong with "Congratulations" but I know how wonderful it is to get a ncie pat on the back and encouragement to keep on keepin' on.  OK, so here we go....

  1. Some kind of fitness.  Anything, as long as it challenges you.
  2. Something special...A treat JUST for you ie.Hot soak in the tub, mani-pedi, an hour with a good book.
  3. Post something encouraging, motivational or inspirational
  4. Make a healthy food choice.....Salad or fruit instead of fries, fish instead of steak.

I really want this to be a fun place to be and a place we can all come to and feel encouraged and inspired.

This week, I will have TWO crowns.... The second one is a surprise.

XXOO Have a GREAT week my friends.

That makes no sense Donna...What I MEANT to say was.... I'm guilty of living in the "someday" and not enjoying today....I'm going to make today...my someday.

holy Cow...is that even sayable? hahaha

I haven't been doing very well at getting my posts on here, but not to fear, I have been being good.  I'm sort of a creature of habit, so my posts pretty much always look the same.  I basically do the same exercise each day, and I follow my weight watchers plan.   Today was weigh in day and I was most excited to see I had gone down a pound.  (I'll take any number in the down direction).  I was feeling like it wasn't going to be a good week for weigh in, so that sort of got me re-motivated which I really needed.  It has been raining ridiculous amounts here lately, there hasn't been any sunshine, I haven't been able to get out and do any therapy work with Sophie because of my shoulder, and I have way too much time on my hands with no real desire to do much of anything ........ so, I'm feeling a little renewed this morning.  Headed to the Y to do a workout in the water which always makes my shoulder feel better.  I think that since the sun is shining I might try and take the girls out (one at a time) for a little walk and see how it goes.  It has been so long since I've been able to walk them I'm excited.

Week 5 here we come!

Thanks for posting...It's good to see you back. I know it's hard to get motivated sometimes, especially when the weather is bad. I hope you make it to the Y a few times this week.

Thank you Donna for starting this challenge!  The last time i went running  was 2 months ago- and that's when we got our 1st puppy, Storm (he's now 19 wks). Our 2nd pup, Ayla, we got 2 weeks ago ( she is now 18 wks), still potty training -

Today i will do my yoga back stretches (have'nt done these in months!) and do a light run-alone.  The pups i walk on a bike trail behind our home,  one at a time, since they are still leash training. I read somewhere that i should'nt go running with my pup?    I hope that i can get back into it.

Yes, we talked about that here too. I think their growth plates are still developing  up until after a year.  My girls LOVE to run but we keep it to a minimum and we walk in between...but even the walking is at a pretty fast pace. It amazes me how strong they are.  We are still working on loose leash training as well. When I have them both, it adds up to almost 100 pounds pulling me down the street. Pheeewwwww. Thank goodness they are getting better.

Forgot to mention that i lost 2 lbs .  And only because ( i know this is the reason- because i have'nt been running for a while now) of this:

My evening routine:

Pups go to bed in their crate,in their own room at 8:30pm.    (Yeay!  No pup barks)

Kids ( 10, 8, & 5) go to bed at 8:30pm , in their own room.      ( Okay, sometimes they whine)

I am awake and hungry for a midnight snack at 9pm-11pm,  BUT  afraid to go to the kitchen for fear of pups (or kids) hearing me open my room door.  So i have now cut off my bad habit of night snacking.  :)
