Rooney's 1st Big Haircut

At 6.5 months we decided that it was time to get Rooney is first big boy haircut, his hair was 5/5 - 6 inches and was so beautiful!  It is starting to get hot here in FL and his hair had little dread locks so before the coat change started the matting we decided to go short.  Hey - it will always grow out right so here our our before and afters.

His hair looks and feels like a chenille bedspread.

Awe... he looks GREAT!  From the picture, it doesn't look too short at all!  He is just beautiful!

So at the puppy park tonight DH (yes the one that tried to kill me with the S.S. and I was in pain the entire time we were there) says "now he just isn't that special".  WHAT THE DOG?  Seems like DH likes the longer hair - I think I do too but it will grow out - Rooney buddy - you will ALWAYS be special to your momma!!!! Bad, bad daddy.

Jane, he looks GREAT! If you can keep him cut closer like this, the coat change will be a breeze. Everyone told me to get Simon's hair cut down at 8 months, but I'd had no matting problems. They hit with a vengence - even when I brushed/combed daily - at 10 months. It is so much easier to groom them with the shorter coat. And so much easier to get the puppy hair out.

Looks like the groomer did a really nice job. Such a handsome boy!
