Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Between getting to know everyone with Yappy Hour and the game of 3 truths and one lie, there is so much to learn about everyone and there are some really interesting and talented people on DK. I would love to know some of the vital statistics like: Age, Married, Children, their ages, professions, hobbies, a dream or goal you have before you get too old to do it. Things that aren't on our profile page already. With all the photos of ourselves we can now put the whole picture of the DK member together.

I'll start:

I am 57 and have been married to my highschool sweetheart for 39 years this May. We have two grown children, Michele 36 and Erik 30 who are both married and live nearby in Az. We have one grandson, Ethan,20 months old, who is my sunshine. I am a Labor and Delivery Nurse, somewhat semi retired and DH is a retired Fire Fighter. I love to make quilts and give one to every family member and so far have about 16 done and about 23 to go. I love to run, work out, be outdoors, garden, read, and spend time with family and doodles. One of my biggest goals is to hike the Grand Canyon rim to rim and also to see Europe someday. Other than that, my dream of being a mom and grandmother is being realized every day.

How about you?

Now that's cool!  I always watch those commercials and wonder if anyone really stays together! AND HERE YOU ARE!  Good for you!
I will ask you the same question I asked the DJ at my daughter's wedding when he asked for all the single girls to come forward...."How about people who wish they were single?",  and my husband just laughed.
Carol that really made me lol!!!
LMAO! excellent.
Is this your personal ad???
Carol... very funny!  LOL  Love your sense of humor!
True Sandy, no one would be asking you if you keep your dog inside like a post earlier in the week from a singles forum. Loser!
Not really.  My breeder is from your area.  And she has lots of doodles.
Jennifer, I am so glad you don't have Cystic Fibrosis. They thought about that too for my daughter and I was relieved when they ruled it out. You sound like a fighter and have certainly not let your illness keep you from living your life. Way to go!! Jack is one lucky doodle.
WOW, Jennifer!  YOU are AMAZING!  I can't even imagine how tough things must be for you and yet you maintain such a positive outlook!  God bless YOU!  You are an inspiration to us all!
Hey Jennifer - wow... I think you're amazing! If I had the time & not all of my family commitments I would accompany you on your trip to Rome! Having a little in common - used to be a CCU nurse. I hope that you get there someday! Im impressed with your determination to get thru nursing school not feeling well. Its hard enough period! Good for you...

Thank you guys, it is rough, especially right now that I have been sick so badly since November but I am still happy, and still grateful. I love the joy in the little things... Maria, lets go to Rome, just bring some Versed and a few ET tubes just in case and I should be good to go!!!!

Thanks for your encouragement, I am not a religious person by any stretch, in fact I have been burned by a few of them but I have an incredible trust in Jesus for my life... so what ever will be will be but I am not going out with dignity, I am going to party it up, love to the fullest and play hard...
