Daisy is 16 months old now. She still sleeps in her nite nite (crate) if she wants to...which lately hasn't been too often. She is usually in the living room either on the floor or in her bed. Her crate is in our room, I am currently using it instead of the nitestand. It is one big crate. I kind of want to put it away but I am feeling that she may still want to use it sometimes. I spoke to DH and we thought we could move it to the office/spare bedroom that way if she wanted to be in it she could.
I am freaking out a little, the thought of her not securely next to me in our room makes me sad, like the puppy is totally gone.
What would you do or what have you done about a crate?
Photos below are her end the end of the hall one morning and the other is one of her in her big old crate.
Thursday morning: GUESS WHO SLEPT IN HER CRATE LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGH

I just posted a discussion about trying to get Fudge and Vern out of their crates when we leave. Here is that discussion. I no longer crate at night, but we shut them in the bedroom with us and they either sleep with us or on the floor. Most of the time, on the floor. However, Vern, I think, would rather sleep in the foyer, but I just don't trust him yet for the chewing. I WISH I could get rid of the crates. Could you get rid of the crate and just move a dog bed to your room, just in case.
Well that is what I was thinking I would do just move the bed to where the crate was. I know I am over thinking this cause she basically has the run of the house. She sleeps where she pleases, it may just be about me.
LOL DH says it's always about me.
Cooper sleeps under our bed. She didnt use her crate (in our lounge/computer room) for ages, then all of a sudden, we will; notice shes not next to me on her bed and we will look for her, and she will be in her crate! I think she goes in there for some peace and quiet from the cats when shes really tired. id love to get rid of her crate, I think she would be fine without it, but DH wants to keep it.
I love seeing pictures of doodles in crates - sometimes its hard to see which part is which!!!!
The junk on top is put there by DH - pants that need to be hung, water bottles crushed that never seem to make it to the recycle bin down the hall and in the garage....magazines, mail you name it. It's hard for the perfect me to deal with - ha ha
I CAN NOT BELIEVE SHE SLEPT IN HER CRATE LAST NIGHT - SHE MUST HAVE REALIZED SOMETHING WAS UP.
I guess I will wait a little while longer....perhaps in the summer when it's warm. I will definitely put the crate in the spare room and her bed in place of where the crate was.
Thanks everyone!
