Well, I am on my way.  Harpo had a bath this morning and we started with combing out his ears and feet.  I trimmed the hair under his ears and  below his eyes and put on drying sweaters in the heated laundry room where he stayed for a couple of hours.  He is now ready to go for a walk out at Ft. Ord.  I haven't put the Frontline on him yet and will do that tomorrow with both dogs.  He didn't have any mats, but his feet were tangley.  He was a good boy throughout the ordeal.

He is a cutie:) You are going to cord him?

How exciting!  I can't wait to see how he turns out.

(P.S.  You can put ALL those photos into your post without attaching them at the bottom)

I bet he will look cool:)

So what exactly are the phases?  And are the "drying sweaters" part of the process or you just used them because he was wet and cold?  I put a bathrobe on Gracie to sop up the drips for the first 1/2 hour and to save her shaking water all over the walls, cabinets, appliances and mirrors.  Otherwise, she just plays around in the back yard drying in the air.  Do you have to physically start cording the hair?  It is all very confusing to me.  He sure is one cute Doodle!!!!

The sweater part gets me too.  Sweatshirts, but not sweaters.   You California girls--Oh my goodness.  We here in the Snow Belts and Very Cold weather Parts only wear sweaters to dress up, go to dinner, or get our picture taken.  Those of us who go outside wear cotton.  Absorbent, breathable cotton.  Go to the Thrift Store and by about 6 sweatshirts.  As a corder myself, that is what works :)   Bathe and then change the sweatshirts every 15 minutes.  Must be absorbent cotton.  Sweaters only itch and are not absorable.

But hey, maybe you know something I don't.

Oh, maybe I have my words confused again.  I found some children's shirts with long sleeves and zippers and that seems to work well.  I squeezed him with the Shamwows, and then put on an absorbent cotton shirt.  I changed the shirts about every fifteen minutes and just threw them into the dryer with the shamwows.  He seemed to dry pretty quickly and he was ready to go.  Seemed to be a lot easier than brushing him  while blow drying his hair.  I don't think any of the shirts were sweatshirts, but they worked fine.

Nancie and Gracie Doodle--Here.  This will clear up a lot. I have some videos posted here on the process.
