April Fools is coming up and I have an extremely immature but awesome idea. My mom is a huge prankster and I've endured many pranks over the years. Shaving cream on our heads while I was asleep, Plastic wrap under the toilet seat, setting the clocks an hour forward, etc. So I like to get her good on April Fools Day. Last year I replaced every photo on her "grandbaby" wall with photos of Darwin. It was pretty funny. This year I'm upping the stakes.

 

My dad is on a business trip, which means that I can bring Darwin into the kitchen (tile floor) if I barricade him in with stools or something. I'm thinking that I should make a fake poo with some tootsie rolls, corn nuts etc. And stick it in a corner somewhere. So my siblings/mom will see Darwin in the kitchen, then later see a poop sitting on the floor. They have never gotten the concept that dogs can be house trained, so they are always paranoid about that kind of thing. I think it will give them all a good scare. 

 

So... do you have any suggestions for foods to make this look realistic? I've got tootsie rolls, and corn nuts... 

Do any of you have good April Fools pranks lined up?

I'm so mature I actually did this prank only I used REAL POOP.

My son was around that smart mouth stage--it was just beginning.   A few nights in a row, at the dinner table, he began to tell me, " I'm not eating this crap."   Of course I was upset but he picked up on that and he added more mouth.

So instead of being upset everynight ( it is not worth it)   I decided to fix him good.

I went to the cat box with my paper plate and made dinner from the litter.

When my son said, I am not eating this crap the third night, I got up and got out the paper plate of cat poop and laid it out next to his plate.   You know, Compare and Contrast......................   :)

"  This is CRAP, and This is DINNER in case you can't figure it out"    

I know that was mean, but I never was a yeller/screamer type so it was a must I find a more creative way to communicate with an 11 year old

I like the Tootsie Roll idea, and just to add to the immaturity of the prank, when the "poo" is discovered, run over, pick it up and pop it into your mouth! (Hey, I taught middle school for 25 years, what do you expect!)

I love this post, but I don't have any suggestions on the fake poop.  I've tricked my mom several times, but never with fake poop.  I definitely want to see pics of your prototypes.

You can actually buy this and it is not very expensive - check out a joke shop. But I think Tootsie rolls would do.

Oh, Camilla!  You can make a POOP cake!  I think a better prank would be to do it on YOUR DAD!  LOL  Darwin won't eat the chocolate will he? that would make me nervous!  Good luck!  Can't wait to hear how it goes!

Don't worry, I'll keep him away from the poop everyone! LOL. He will be leashed to me in one corner of the kitchen, the poop will be in the other. I can't pull it on my dad, it will hit too close to home. LOL!

Last year we played some April Fools pranks at my office... Baby Ruths in the toilet look amazingly real... LMAO!!!!
