I've been wanting to get pet insurance for Brinkley for months but every time I tried to weed through all the different companies I got totally overwhelmed.  Today, I told myself that I would not leave work until he was insured. I called my vet and got their opinions on different companies.  He is now insured by VPI.  Ahhhh,,, I can breath a sigh of relief now.

Congratulations. Now hope like the rest of us you to never have to use it.
Yes, I hope this is a "waste" of money!
Congratulations. It eased my mind to get the pet insurance.
They told me that's the one that they've seen the most coverage and the most percentage reimbursement.  Hopefully I'll never find out-- but I finally came to the conclusion that with all my questioning he wasn't covered at all-- so it's better to have some rather than none. :)

My vet suggested VPI too.  I think it is probably no different than with Science Diet, etc., the companies target vet's offices to promote their product.  I went with PetPlan, but I think the most important thing is Brinkley is insured.  I truly hope none of us has to use it either!

Hopefuly Jennifer has insurance on Jack (discussion posted last night) and Becca on Lucy' - "Mushroom Warning" - you just never know!

Actually, after I read about Jacks little knee cap, I called right away!  She said she has insurance and was glad she did b/c of the pricey bill!
We talked about it when we got Duffy, but we had never had a sick dog before, so didn't.  If you've seen any of my posts, he was very ill, at death's door.  We have spent thousands and now he has what is called a "pre-existing condition" so we can never get him any insurance.  He is still on lots of drugs but is in the process of being weaned.  One drug alone is $156 for 15 pills!!!  Thank goodness the vet dropped the dosage from twice a day to only once.  This will be the best money you have ever wasted!!!!
Congrats! I was very relieved on the day we got Darwin insurance.
Congrats on Brinkley!! I'm still pondering but I should learn from you and just go for it.. I'm going to sign with Pet assure -  I heard the most glowing reviews compared with all the others.. It's supposed to be the most "legit- cheaper and covers all pets".. any of  you guys hear of it??
Never heard of it... however, that doesn't mean much.  Like I said, I was one confused doodle owner when it came to insurance!
I was relieved too - haven't used it since I bought it of course!  It really makes you breathe a sigh of relief knowing that if some accident occurs, you don't have to fork over tons of $$ or wrestle with a big decision.  My chihuahua is uninsurable (waited until AFTER he had a big mishap) and it is nice to know that my doodle is covered - at least one won't cost me an arm and a leg!
That's too bad about your little doggie.  That's exactly what i was worried about-- I didn't want him to get sick or hurt and then become uninsurable!
