Does anyone have doodles that get the crazies.  By crazies I mean running from one room to another at warp speed, with a wild look in their eyes, time after time.  Buddy does this often, its very funny but I don't know why he does it, or if he should be.

Oh yes!  going on THREE YEARS of "the zoomies" over here!  LOL
HA!  Yep, Henry has done that.
Lol, BB does the same thing to. its a very unique way that the butt gets tucked under. I think that is the strangest part.
Oh yes, after 2 years we still have zoomie fests and I love them :)

Yep. Sophie had her first zoomie the other day after a walk. She's nuts!

The first time Darwin did this as a puppy, I thought "Oh no!  Our puppy is crazy!"  My husband assured me that it's perfectly normal for dogs to run at max speed down the hallway (butt tucked in, wild glint in eye), only to land head first into the side of the couch and bounce off without any speed loss into a full zoom back down the hallway!  Yes, perfectly normal.  Darwin was is my first dog, and I learned a lot.

We call it having beans.  There's a full serving of beans to be had almost everyday at our house.

Hahahaa! Having beans!!! Is that like getting a wild hair?
Our Finn does the same thing! We just laugh and say hes going crazy again:) He runs at warped speed from room to room and then jumps on his doggie bed and starts all over. He also does it outside! I like the term zoomies! I think its perfectly normal, they just get splurts of energy.

Henry started these about a little over a week ago, I love it.  How can it not make you smile?  Cracks me up.
Like Minga and Malu we call these Sydney's butt running. Her favorite time to do it is mid evening after trying to nip at us and getting corrected. She will then do this going back and forth behind the couch and occasionally running around the living room and dinning room then back to the couch.

Trixie gets the Zoomies too.  I do worry about her running into some pretty hard furniture we have.

Our Last dog a Flat Coat Had the zoomies at 10 years old still!

Two nights ago, I brought Simba home from obedience class and he and Whopper were so excited to be reunited they both got the zoomies.  15 seconds later was a big boom and our television rattled.  Simba had crashed into the corner of our entertainment unit.  He jumped on me due to be spooked and seemed to settle.  He then disappeared and a few minutes later I found him under the dining room table.  He had a cut down the center of his nose.  Fortunately, while it was bleeding, it wasn't too deep and the collision only seemed to remove the top layer of skin.  We were lucky that he didn't hit is high and that where he did hit, it wasn't deep and requiring stitches... Entertainment Unit 1 - Simba 0.
