Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

In 45 days I will bring home my beautiful Australian Doodle.  I am beyond excited and can hardly contain myself!!!  The waiting is so hard and I don't know how you all got through it.  Sometimes it's almost unbearable, especially everyday when I'm looking at all the beautiful Doodles on this forum.

Also want to say how grateful I am that I found this forum.  I am learning so much here and the information is just priceless.  I am doing my due diligence and absorbing everything I can so that when my baby comes home, I'll be the best mommy I can be :D

My son's friend just picked up his male Australian labradoodle last week at a breeder here in Ontario.  He named him Gaston and he is a large chocolate coloured puppy.  I havn't seen him yet and asked for pictures.  As soon as I get them I will send the pics to you.
Debbie - did your son get his puppy from "our" breeder in Ontario?
Waiting is part of the process for many of us, but when that day comes and that furry little baby is finally yours, your heart will just melt...This is such an important site for most of us here, we all love our doodles and their siblings whether they are doodles or not.  You will learn so much here.  There is a special section just for new puppy owners, go to it, if you haven't yet, it is great.  Please post a picture or two when you get your new girl/boy.  We love pictures and stories about these new little darlings....
Welcome!!  You will be so relieved that you had time to prepare!!  That will make the experience all the more enjoyable!  Can't wait for the pics!

How exciting!! We are in waiting too.. We are waiting to see if the dog we are hoping to get puppies from is pregnant.. Congrats to you!!!

:D I'm so excited for you Connie!! You are going to make such a great Doodle Momma!! I'm so happy that one of my Sami's puppies are lucky enough to go to you and I hope that they all find such loving homes :)

Thanks Brittany.  It's so cool that we are both on DK and you can see Sami's puppy grow up here.

Have you been able to see the puppies lately?  OMG, your grandparents posted new pictures yesterday of the puppy's first time outside.  They are so adorable!!  I can only imagine their glee as they were romping around on the grass for the first time.  Too cute : D.

Congratulations!  The waiting is almost as fun as getting the puppy the first day.  Stick with US.. we'll help you pass the time quickly!  WELCOME!
Welcome Connie, and congratulations.
One thing I think you should know is this. Everyday you wait with excitement is wonderful, every minute ticking down in anticipation is joyful and the moment you get your baby in your arms is unbelievable....the best part of it all is that for the most part the feelings never end.
May your happiness now and that day go on for you as they have for our family with our Daisy Doodle.
Thanks Lisa.  I remember what is was like waiting for my Yorkie puppy years ago.  It was torture but when I held her in my arms for the first time, it was like getting a piece of heaven right here on earth.  She was a beautiful little girl but very afraid of children and hated other dogs (my fault for not socializing her enough with other dogs).  This is why I am so thrilled about getting a Doodle because from everything I've heard and read about this breed, they love people and I want my grandchildren to be able to love on this dog.
I'm in waiting too. Puppies due on 20th April and then a nine week wait PG.  It's driving me potty but I think that when it finally happens I will be as ready as I can possibly be.  Best of luck, look forward to pics.

Hi Nicky.  Yes I now what you mean about driving us 'potty' (love that term!).  Waiting is really hard but from what everyone says here, these dogs are TOTALLY worth the agony of the wait.

I'm looking forward to hearing about your 'birth announcement' next week!
