Sounds fishy. Most kennel clubs have some educational organization behind their name. Does this club offer anything besides being "registered" (that probably costs something)?
Just reading their list of "accepted" mixes is enough to make you lose your lunch...my favorite is "Miniature Schnauzer + Pomeranian = "Pom-a-nauze". "Nauze" is right! LOL
This looks like a site designed to help puppy mills sell puppies...I would stay far, far away from it.
Thank you ladies! I thought the same thing but being new to all of this was not sure. Adina- yes it does cost to register your dog or litter. I knew I could get good answers here! Thanks!!
What is interesting about this site is that nowhere on it are you able to find the names of the people associated with the "organization". Although it maybe legit - until I know more information about it, I would not trust it.
My question would be why aren't any labradoodle or australian labradoodle puppies for sale? There are no featured breeders. Looks very fishy to me. How did you hear of this site?
I would also say that the labradoodle was bred for a purpose; to be a service dog for people who are allergic to dogs. Being so closely associated with every other type of designer dog out there probably isn't the best thing for the breed. But I guess it all depends on what the goals are for the breed now? Do we want labradoodles to eventually be recognized by the AKC? Or do we want them to keep the label of designer breed? Can we have both?
