Introducing My Little Man

I've just found out which puppy I will be getting from my breeder. His picture is now in my profile. He's a sweet chocolate Australian Labradoodle and he turned 6 weeks old on Easter. As I've been posted her at DK, I won't be bringing him home until May 28 and it's going to be a very long wait until then.

Since the breeder is 90 minutes away, I'm going to go visit him this Sunday and then hopefully decide on a name for this little guy. I've narrowed it down to two names. He's either going to be 'Bocelli' or 'Bo' for short, or 'Cooper'. I've asked about 15 people and 'Bocelli' so far is the leader.

Since I am a huge, huge fan of the opera singer Andrea Bocelli (and I mean FAN), it was natural for me to consider naming my puppy after him. I also love the name Cooper, although it seems that name has really grown in popularity. I just can't decide.....I'm hoping that once I meet this little guy, I'll know for certain which name to choose.

I'll take lots of pictures of him on Sunday and will post them here.

OMG! What a cutie-he looks like he's saying take me hime now or else! It's great that you can go visit him, it's a long wait but at least you have time to learn and prepare! I also like the Bocelli/BO! Cooper is getting pretty popular! Good luck and congrats!!

How adorable is he?!!! Ahhhh, puppies - makes me want one - lol. I'm in the Bocelli camp - this little cutie pie already looks like a Bo to me - lol. I also love Andrea Bocelli so how can you go wrong. Will be watching for more photos!!!! Congrats.

Connie, he is simply gorgeous, he looks a little soulful so I think the Opera singer name looks like it just might suit best. I am waiting for pictures but my puppy is only a week old at the moment and I don't know which one yet. Also a choc Aussie LD so I'm right behind you girl!!!

Nicky, I agree that those eyes of his make him look really soulful. He doesn't look like a 6-week old puppy to me. He looks grown up already!

I'm so happy that you are getting a chocolate AL too. There's just something about the chocolates that melt my heart.

I know how hard the waiting is and especially the not knowing which puppy will be yours so hang in there girlfriend.

Oh, Connie, he is such a cutie! Congratulations!

I love the name Bocelli. The only thing to be aware of is that Bo rhymes with another word that I suspect you'll be using frequently, at least during his puppyhood. Just don't want the little guy to get confused.

I can't wait to see more pictures!
