Job Interview today. UPDATE: I GOT THE JOB!!!!

Hi All, asking for good doodle thoughts today as I go for an interview at a local hospital for a Lactation Consultant position. It is part time and exactly what I want in amount of hours so that I can still have time with my grandson, home and doodles.  These jobs are rare and although the competition is relatively limited due to the qualifications, it is a much sought after position for a RN, IBCLC, (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant)

I start May 16th. It's 20 hours a week and very flexible hours which I just love. They have 4000 deliveries a year which is pretty busy.  I am very excited to get back into the hospital too. I'm one of those wierd people who feel really at home in a hospital. I was so out of my element in a cubby at the state's offices accross the street from the capital building. But what I learned there has certainly made me a much better Lactation Consultant.

That's wonderful news, I'm so happy for you. The subject of Breast Feeding is very close to my heart. Here in Ireland we have a very poor rate.  I nursed all my children (the eldest is now 30 )when it was really hard to and I didn't know anyone else who did it.  La Leche league were my life support and I battled mastitis, cracked nipples et al with Jessica who it turned out later would have had to be tube fed it I hadn't persevered.  I went on to nurse all of my children and let them wean themselves.  When asked what it tasted like Jessica aged 3 told her aunt 'warm ice-cream'!
