My F1b mini gd went in for a blood test the other day for a heartworm check. My vet called today and told me they found fat in his blood and that he needed more blood work done. He said it could be a problem with his triglycerides or a few other thing's. Or if my doodle ate some dog food before his blood test that could be the reason for the fat showing up. At this point I'm not sure if he ate or not there  might have been some food left in one of the bowls.I'm praying that this turns out to be nothing! Has anyone had this happen with their dog?

Thanks barb

Thanks everyone I will let you know!
Next installment will be grain-free, low cholosterol, low salt, low sugar, low calorie .... uhmmm what else should we regulate? However is must taste great to dogs and cause firm poos.

Good news I got Emmets blood  test results back, everything is fine!!! He must have ate some dog food that morning=)

Glad to hear it!
That's awesome...thanks for letting us know.
We are soooooo happy everything turned out ok=) I wasn't sure how I was going to tell my little girl that Emmet was sick. She had picked him out as a puppy and he is her dog....she loves him so much=)
That's good news. Sometimes testing can be more of a problem than a help. My belief is , don't test unless the results can give you some information on something you can treat. Jane said she tests every six months. I would not do this at more than one year intervals at most. And If I were home cooking, which, I barely do for myself : ), I would make sure that the dogs got a good multivitamin to cover my bases.
I am so glad for this news.  Sneaky Emmet, getting something to eat.

Great news.
