So happy Louie is better!! Thanks for the info and I will print that out for sure-good to know about the fresh bottle, we have an old bottle here we will update!
Soooo happy the Louie is ok, this is the first thing I checked this morning. A doggie first aid kit is a good idea, I am going to assemble one for us.
So glad to hear all is well and Louie threw it all up.  Amazing when you want them to take meds it's a struggle and when you don't they have no problem!   I'm putting together a first aid kit and  just so I get this straight what percentage Hydrogen Peroxide is needed and how much?  Do you give it by dropper or teaspoon?  I have been looking for info on this since all this happened and am not completely clear yet.
I'm glad to hear that Louie is okay!
I am so glad everything turned out well.... Thank you for sharing what you  learned. I need to go buy a new bottle of hydrogen peroxide mine ia about two years old!!
Glad to hear the great news!!   I was in a hurry typing last night, so the turkey baster part may not have made sense.  Since a large dog needs more peroxide then most syringes hold.  Using a turkey baster allows you to give it all a one time.  If you have to stop several times to refill it will be harder to get the dog to take the rest.

What wonderful news, so thankful he is okay!

I second the recommendation to buy a rubbermaid container.  I have one that has a clasp lid (no one without opposible thumbs could open it) that I keep heartworm, frontline, brushes, supplements, etc...in. It's my dog box.  It's also good to have that just in case of an emergency and you need to get out fast but need important dog items.

Thanks for the update :)

So glad Louie is OK.

What should I include in my pet’s first-aid kit?

Accidents happen, so it’s smart to be prepared in case of an emergency. ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center experts recommend that you invest in an emergency first-aid kit for your pet.
The kit should contain:
- Fresh bottle of hydrogen peroxide, 3 percent USP (to induce vomiting)
- Turkey baster, bulb syringe or large medicine syringe (to administer peroxide)
- Saline eye solution
- Artificial tear gel (to lubricate eyes after flushing)
- Mild grease-cutting dishwashing liquid (for bathing an animal after skin contamination)
- Forceps (to remove stingers)
- Muzzle (to protect against fear- or excitement-induced biting)
- Can of your pet’s favorite wet food
- Pet carrier

Always consult a veterinarian or the APCC for directions on how and when to use any emergency first-aid item. We also suggest that you keep the telephone number of the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center—(888) 426-4435—as well as that of your local veterinarian in a prominent location.

alternate Animal Poison Control# 800-213-6680   $35.00 for advice from a vet

There is a free one I came across to that I will add later...

Also, the link April posted walked me thru the process and I'll post that link too.

One more comment about the peroxide...an older UN Opened bottle would work too. The key is unopened...it losses the effectiveness once opened.

Thanks again for all your support...you guys are AWESOME!!!

April posted this last night and it guided me thru the process

You may also want to include a BLOAT EMERGENCY KIT.  Here is the link to information on what you need.
