Hi everybody:) I have been thinking about this for a little while now and I was wondering what I should do. I am thinking about donating my hair, at least 10 inches of it to Locks of Love. It is pretty long, so I won't be taking too much off. I have always had my hair long though. What do you think I should do? Thanks for your imput.

O' what a wonderful generous gesture to make!
Your very brave but the gift is priceless.
I say do it :) You will be giving a wonderful gift to someone that needs it and your hair will grow back.
When my daughter was 16 her hair reached her butt.  She decided it had to go, had it cut to her shoulders (donating to locks of love).  I was worried it would be too much at once and that she might regret it.  But nope, she was thrilled.  I say go for it, just like our doodles, if you aren't happy, it grows back!

My granddaughter has done it twice and it is such a beautiful gesture.  Just think how awful it would be to not have your hair.  Even though I complain about mine all the time, at least I have it and I can't imagine NOT having it.

Do it.  You will gain a lot of satisfaction from it and you would be helping someone in need.

I think you should do it!  My daughter had her first "official" haircut when she was 6 and donated her hair to Locks of Love.  She watched another girl donate the previous year and decided she wanted to do it.  When my daughter was donating, another girl saw her and decided she would grow her hair to donate, so the cycle continued!

I vote yes!  It is such a wonderful gift to give.

What a wonderful gesture to help someone in need.  It would be bad enough to be so sick but then you also have to lose your hair?  I think that this is something that you should do and you will feel so wonderful afterwards.  Your hair will grow back and who knows - you might like it a little bit shorter.  Go for it!
I say Yes Yes Yes - It is for a great cause and it will bring so much joy to someone else.  So thoughtful of you.
Add my vote to the "Go for it" group!!  My hair is (and always has been) very thin, but at least I have some!  I'd never be able to donate, but I fully support those who can!
Thanks everybody, now I just have to convince my Mom. She really thinks I will regret it but I don't think I will. She doesn't want me to do it. She knows it is for a good cause but she just thinks girls should have long hair. I already told her it would be for a good cause. Any tips in convincing her? I know that her brother (my uncle) had cancer but I think it would be kind of rude to use that to convince her I don't want to hurt her. I already tried telling her it would be for a good cause but she just said I will regret it. My dad doesn't want me to do it either. My parents don't even let me pick what shampoo I want to use. haha:) Oh well:)
I think it would be a very giving gift on your part.  I know three little girls (7 & 8) that just donated this past year....and they feel wonderful about doing it....

Taylor, I work at a children's hospital and see kids that are diagnosed with cancer way too often. I think this is a wonderful, generous thing for you to do. Bless you.
