Sod update!

Well, we went for the fescue sod and so far so good......of course the pups have not been on it  yet and we have been visiting the dog park quite frequently to run them there, but I'm loving our yard and hope that it stays this way!! We have been leashing our pups to pee only on the side of our house (no new sod there) and are allowing them to only poop in the back on the sod.  We plan on continuing this habit (forever hopefully) as they really don't pee that much during the day, so it's no big deal to leash them.

Your yard is just lovely!! You must have lovely evenings sitting out there with the chiminea burning!

A suggestion - is there a way to make an area like the one you have in the back set up for doodle potty area? I purchased at Home Depot rubber mulch for the girls pen area on the side of the house. Pretty easy to clean up - the only thing that I have to watch out for is Charli likes to chew on it!

I am jealous - the dirt area used to be all gorgeous grass! Ripped up from doodle play. I was thinking about putting sod down but this area is just off the steps from the patio and it can't imagine that sod would fair any better - but it is worth a shot.

Their potty area right now is on the side of the house...we have been leashing them to pee and then let them poop in the back.  We are thinking of fencing the side to make it easier on us.  The thing I'm concerned with is them playing outside and ripping up the grass....I know it will happen some but I"m praying that it doesn't someday get completely destroyed.  We are still contemplating a small dog run as well......We're going to see how the fescue lasts with the pups.
